Reviews for What You Were Meant To Be
Nurayy chapter 1 . 1/11
This is utterly sweet. A wonderful story from you again! Oh how I love your stories!
I love how you show Aragorn through Eldarion's eyes. How he thinks his father can make everything right. The complete faith he has in him. He means security and steadfastness.
It is beautiful to see how Eldarion grows up loved and protected. Absolutely heartwarming how you show that. I love them all, Aragorn, Legolas, Arwen and Eldarion. You write them so well. You make me love them even more.
Pipkin in the Grass chapter 1 . 11/13/2017
This is such a sweet little piece. I really liked seeing the world through Eldarion's eyes. The mood and tone is also fantastic, you can feel the love, and moments of melancholy come across so perfectly.
Hawaiichick chapter 1 . 4/19/2017
What a simply beautiful ending with Legolas and Arewen singing in elvish. I love how sweet Legolas is with Eldarion. It's very insightful of you to show how curious and envious Eldarion is with the race of elfs. It makes sense. His mother, uncles, grandfather and favorite "uncle" are all elves. (I also find it amusing that Eldarion loves to ride with Legolas because he "rides like a wild-man. :)
Ardhoniel Marvelite chapter 1 . 2/22/2017
Wonderful story!
Translator-Lost chapter 1 . 12/8/2016
Gosh, I had forgotten to review this :/ Alright, this was my favorite story for the Teitho Contest once more. I really love how you portray the relationship between Legolas and Aragorn - and I also love how Eldarion worship his "uncle". That's so cute :3
Effie17 chapter 1 . 12/3/2016
Very cute story.
Death-Sama01 chapter 1 . 11/18/2016
As always lots of love~ I'm sure Aragorn also wished to be an elf when he was young, growing up as he did, surrounded by them XD
Guest chapter 1 . 11/18/2016
This was so beautifully written! Was it written for Teitho? If so, it should have placed! I really enjoyed it. Hope you will write more!
nyx thranduillon chapter 1 . 11/17/2016
I loved this when I first read it at Teitho, so much in fact that it gained my first place vote and am so pleased to see I was not the only one to think so.
Your characterisations are, as ever, wonderfully well thought out and realistic. I could see poor Eldarion so clearly as he was perched in his precarious spot wondering what to do and Aragorn, initially terrified that his son may fall but then placing his trust so completely in Legolas as the most natural thing in the world. A perfect friendship.
Of course, Legolas has to be his usual, apologetic self. Trying to take the blame for nothing more than being himself. It was this that made me think it was your story when I first read it.
Congratulations on a very well deserved win with this gorgeous story.
