I think writing on their wrists to communicate is adorable and another great concept. I like the content and loving tone of this chapter. I also love the mystery the manage to keep from each other while talking about their day. I thought Allen's request to write on the right wrist was a nice touch as well. Great work. Oh goodness. That would be /terrible/. Especially given its so fragmented and if Link stopped seeing Allen's dreams in the aftermath. It would make sense though: if the dreams are about what happens during the day, if Allen's catatonic, he's not really doing anything during the day the dream could be about. It also creates the interesting implication that "Red/Allen" truly did die that day and was then reborn as the "Allen" we know, who also happened to be Link's soulmate. *grimace* I don't know which is worse: the prospect that in spite of the dreams Allen missed the explanation of how Akuma come to be or that Allen just plain didn't care at that point.

This provides such a good motivation for why Link becomes such a dedicated CROW. Although the implications for Link being put as Allen's surveillance are /very/ interesting. Hmm. Interesting. So soul mates are all same-gendered? Or is it just that Link, Madarao and Tewaku's all happen to be?

Hmm. So there's no empathy bond until they meet. *grimace* Probably for the best considering the childhoods the two of them had. *snort* So Allen can mask his emotions /emphatically/ on top of everything else. Because of course he can. *shakes head* Poor Link. I don't envy his having to deal with that. *wince* Yeah, Allen's ability to smile in the face of /everything/ would only be even creepier if you could actually /feel/ the emotions he''s hiding underneath. *laugh* Poor Link. Even when he makes Allen feel better he still has to deal with crying.

So Red/Allen wants the string to break because he doesn't think the person on the other end deserves to be stuck with him. *shake head* That is so very Allen. *grimace* Suddenly I have a feeling Mana's string broke when Neah died. *grin* Of course Link can pick up Allen's mood through a /string/. *laugh* That awkwardness of that meeting would increase so much if Allen and Link knew they were soul mates.

I love how you wrote this concept where soulmates get flashes of each other. I think having Link think his soulmate died of an akuma was a great way to explain how he became the strongest in the group. I also love how you explore Allen and Link's relationship throughout this story. Also I love how you write younger Link and his relationship with his friends. I'm glad you ended it with him realizing Allen was still alive. I thought the ghost comparison was interesting though since it kind of mirrored how Link was feeling thinking Allen was dead and putting all of his effort into work. Great work and looking forward to more.

I love your stories. They also have so much emotion contained within them. Thank you for continuing on with the red thread theme I find it really intriguing and unique. I love how Link's trying so hard to figure out how to make Allen happy. I love how he keeps making him cry instead because he's still learning how Allen is. That ending was so adorable. Great work.
