Don’t mind me being a stalker, but you did tell me about your other stories ;P Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for another cracking story! I guess I’d never really considered what Jane would’ve been like without Angela or Charlotte ever happening. I’m kind of disgusted that he would be so womanising, but probably only because it’s completely accurate. It really goes to show how much traumatic events in our lives shape us. Anyway, thanks again and I’ll be looking out for more of these collabs. I really like them and I wish I had someone to do them with!

You girls are amazing. Simply amazing. Now I'm addicted to some of your shared stories, like this one. It's been a complete delight to read it. At first I was reluctant to read a story so divergent from canon (I prefer fics where Jane has come to love Lisbon through his tragedy after his family's murder, it fascinates me to witness his fierce struggle to go on, his unwavering goal to chase Red John, his thorough changes from the smug conman thirsty for fame and money (in the mistaken presumtion that that's the best he can offer to his wife and daughter, eager to run away from the poverty and shortages of his childhood) to the humbled consultant who grabs law enforcement and Lisbon as his only lifesavers when everything else has collapsed around him. And finally, after Red John's fall, his second chance for love with Lisbon). I think this is the first time I've read something so out of canon (we just saw a glimpse in chapter 4x10 of what Jane would have become had Angela not crossed paths with him and tragedy had not hit him so hard, and I think you girls both have nailed perfectly his casanova-conman-carefree but at bottom lonely-tender-eager-for-love nature), but you couldn't have displayed more perfectly the process through which he falls in love with Lisbon in a question of a few weeks, just like I'm sure he did in canon too. It feels like he was meant to fall in love with her anyways, either after his tragedy or if he hadn't ever met Angela. Or, even if no tragedy had hit them, I'm sure his relationship with Angela would have finally ended in a break up, as love wasn't enough for him to quit his ambitions at that stage, ambitions which Angela clearly didn't share, and he didn't truly appreciate enough the treasure he had at home. And he would have had to learn to move on without Angela, accepted that their story was over, and at some point he'd meet Lisbon and by then he'd be a humbler man, ready to value the wonderful woman Lisbon is (or that's what I tend to wonder about in my mind)...
The addition of the "real psychic powers" is so funny and touching. And it's so lovely to witness the process of how he leaps from being a complete rascal to be a man in love and to discover his fatherly instincts with Charlotte (I have no doubt that his little daughter from canon would have been exactly like the girl in this fic, a clever and charming little thing)... Thank you, thank you so much to you both. You have a gift for writing these stories, just as Jane has a gift for reading people, psychic powers or not, and for trapping the only woman capable of making him truly and completely happy. :-) A story like this one can mean a lot to people around the world... It's an invaluable treasure, much more valuable precisely because it's been offered for free and just for the fun of it. I'll never get tired of praising artists like you both. Kee your gift for many blessed years and never lose it! :-)

So, just tonight I was thinking, 'Man, I could really use a good fic from Donna tonight.' And I also longed for it to be a new one. It's been a bit since I checked here (your page), and last time I did, you were writing for a different fandom. But, I checked here anyway, just in case, and, much to my great delight, I find three new fics up for Jisbon. Woot! Not only that, but this one (which I plan on reading first-right after I finish writing this, actually) is written by you and co-written with my favorite co-writing partner of yours-waterbaby-yes! Anyhoo, this brought me much joy and was just what I needed rn. Thanks for re-visiting this couple. I miss them.

Jane's goodbye with Charlotte was heartbreaking! But then Lisbon came to comfort him and all ended as it should. Thank you both for this very entertaining story!
