Reviews for Mending
badly-knitted chapter 1 . 2/22/2017
Finally got around to listening to Broken this morning so I could read this.

I love that Jack set out with every intention of retconning Mandy and came away without doing so, finding all sorts of reasons to justify leaving her memory intact. She won't tell anyone, and maybe some day she will prove useful. After all, she already has been, despite aiding and abetting a slave trader. A great coda to the audio adventure.

Once again you hit it out of the park. I love your stories.

Yay! Today Big Finish (or rather, Royal Mail) delivered my Broken audio at last, and as I've already listened to it twice I now feel there's no chance of me being spoilerised. :)

I love what you've done here, it seems a natural progression, a move that Jack would actually make - and I love Mandy's sing-song dialogue; you've got here spot on!

I've always liked to think that there was a lot more going on on a personal level between Jack and Ianto than we got to see on screen, and it's stories like yours that help to keep the dream alive. Thank you!

You're right also about Big Finish's involvement here; listening to each audio book as it arrives, it feels like the team have never been away - And they're all brilliant, not just those involving Jack or Ianto. I've already pre-ordered my November copy of 'Outbreak' ... can't wait for that. :)

Thanks for coming up with this so quickly, it made a very nice follow-on. :)

Even Jack needs someone to talk to.
With no strings attached.
Mandy is giving good advice.

Alice Carter chapter 1 . 7/6/2016
Broken is absolutely brilliant, and left me wanting more. Here it is! I love Mandy. She could easily be a regular, the Torchwood counsellor, so to speak. It's not often someone can get those two to open up. Now I want that conversation in the tapas place. :)
(Tiny nitpick typo - things are about to change rather than chance in the last sentence.)
