I loved this! It was lovely!

I absolutely loved the slow build up this fic did. So beautiful. And the moment where Rory finally said “I love you” to Jess was too beautiful to describe. So utterly “themthem sitting in bed together in their underwear/sleeping clothes, casually reading, comfortably, domestically and for her to just state it simply because she finally understood what she was feeling. I can’t imagine her ever saying “I love you” to Jess in any other way again. Thank you for this beautiful piece of fiction. One of my all time favorites.

I discovered and read this fic for the 1st time on AO3 a couple of months ago but found it on here too about a week ago so I decided to re-read it again today

the way you get into Jess's psyche is amazing and really well-written

I like how the ending has all of these different possibilities and it really does feel like the start of a new beginning for them and their relationship

this fic is absolutely perfect. This is the kind of rory/jess relationship i always imagined working, allowing each other the freedom they both desperately need, opening up to each other and healing old wounds gradually, supporting each other professionally as well as romantically. Love it!

I have lost count how many times I have read this story. You have captured Jess and Rory so perfectly. Love, love, love!

This was so incredibly beautiful! I can see it playing out just like this. It's so well written and it's perfect for them.

Wow this was so very good. I love how you spanned years of their relationship, how you went so deep into Jess's mindset, showed us who he was, why he did the things he did. He became exactly what Rory needed. And she was just what he needed, she always was. She was like a wild animal he was trying not to spook, no sudden movements, act casual, nice and calm. Played everything by the book, by the rules until she changed them. Slowly but surely she realized she needed him more and more and I loved the slow progression of the relationship. It wasn't intense and volatile like before. It gave her the time to think and the time to miss him. The time to realize she needed him. I love this story so hard

I'm not sure how I haven't read this one before, but it's really beautiful and so well done. Thank you for writing something so genuine and fluid and moving. A one-shot that spans years! Really incredible work. I fully understand and appreciate your depiction of Jess, and love the variety of scenes and situations that you envisioned. A little conflict - a fight or a miscommunication or something in there - might have made it seem more real, but what you wrote is a lovely idea of how they finally end up together.
