Caroliny Hotchner chapter 8 . 1/24 Hi, how are you. I loved his story, and Rossi should take care of him, and Reid be the son who will show love, as he and the best father in the world, and Jess has to know that. I am looking forward to continuation. |
MoonlightBreeze7 chapter 8 . 10/24/2019 This is a really amazing story. I think you wrote Hotch and the rest of the team extremely realistically. |
Selena92 chapter 8 . 8/17/2016 oh damn, poor Hotch. The team, too. I'm so glad Rossi was in time to stop him. As to how it continues...well, him staying with Jack at Jessica's is a good start. He needs to see Jack needs and loves him. Jessica, too. And yes, he needs to know Jessica doesn't blame him for her sisters death. But even if she tells him, he won't just believe it. She needs to show him. Recalling Hayley together, going through photographs, taking Jack to amusement parks, all that would help. But, he does need professional help, too, even if he doesn't want it. He needs to aknowledge Hayleys death, needs to talk about it. To an outsider. Perhaps he could go to a self-help group? Like Reid did with his drug addiction. I know, he won't want to do it, so maybe...how about he befriends another young father who has lost his wife or a mother who has just lost her husband...or will loose their significant other during the course of the story and he accompanies them to grief conseling because they can't go through it alone and they bond over it and talk to each other? Someone who really knows what he's going through? He could meet that friend at Jack's kindergarten, maybe it's the mother/father of one of Jack's friends? One thing is certain, he will have setbacks, days where he thinks he can't do it anymore, nightmares, insecurities. It won't just go away now that he's managed not to take his life. Coming back from such things is hard and stony, but he can do it. He just needs support, and help. And understanding, too. Btw, what about his gun? Maybe he shouldn't have it for a while. Sure, at first loosing it will make him feel worse, but he did try to end it once, so he shouldn't keep it. As for not telling Strauss...I think she shouldn't be told, even though she mellowed a bit after Hayleys death. I don't think she'd handle it right. I hope I could help a bit with your block, I know all too well how horrible those things are. PM me if there's anything I can help with |
cordelia.watsinhimer chapter 8 . 8/8/2016 You could have the next chapter opening with Strauss and Hotch talking and Hotch having time off. Then, have him go to Jess' house and spend time with Jack for a month or two. All the while, the team is checking up on him. Garcia is bringing him baked goods and happy pictures, Reid giving Hotch books on everything from "How to Move on From Grief" to "What Not to Do in Spain", and Rossi going over every other night to talk with Aaron and to be that rock he needs. |
HOTFANATIC chapter 8 . 7/1/2016 I have loved this story from the beginning and would love to see it continue. And although Rossi, Jessica, Jack, and the team can all attempt to persuade Hotch how much he is loved and needed is important. And as Hotch would refrain from talking to a professional because he is such a private individual, he could always talk to Rossi and Jessica. But then again, they cannot help in all areas because they are not professionals. How about if Hotch was paid a visit by 'Haley' who in reality, is his guardian angel, who shows Aaron what life would be like for these same people and Jack and Jess if he were to end his life. And also that she does not blame him for what happened and he shouldn't blame himself either. I think he would listen to her. Just a thought. |
Zabou chapter 8 . 6/30/2016 I think, he will try not to talk but... Rossi knows him very well and take care. He take him at home and show him how the team, jack and jessica care. |
guest chapter 8 . 6/30/2016 Great idea to have Aaron and Jack stay with Jessica. Spending more time with Jack will help him. However, what if Aaron talked to Jessica? They have a strong bond because of their shared love of Haley and Jack. The show has never explored the idea of Aaron, Jessica and Jack helping one another to heal from Haley's death. Aaron thinks Haley's death is his fault. If Jessica told him otherwise and that she does not blame him, it could help Hotch. Also, Rossi should be involved somehow because he is someone Aaron trusts and confides in. Rossi understands him. Just a few thoughts. |
AHowell1993 chapter 7 . 6/30/2016 Great chapter. |
stevieLUVSAlex chapter 8 . 6/30/2016 Perhaps he can be forced into therapy by losing his job if he doesnt comply. Then the shrink could ask him questions and he could dodge them for a while. |
Guest chapter 7 . 6/26/2016 Would love to see the story through Hotch's recovery |
stevieLUVSAlex chapter 7 . 6/26/2016 Well done! Keep going. I want to see how he moves past this. And more team interaction please. This chapter was perfect for that |
tlcroft chapter 6 . 6/26/2016 Rossi so hit the nail square on the head here. Aaron was an abused child and grew up to try and protect everyone around him. Yes, it hurts that he couldn't stop Foyet but that was in no way his fault. And instead of burying everything he's feeling, Aaron needs to get it all out and talk. The wounds are still there, scabbed over but not healed. The toxins need to be drained or they'll keep poisoning him. |
pechika chapter 6 . 6/26/2016 Love the way Rossi is so protective about Aaron. |
Guest chapter 6 . 6/25/2016 Nice update! I think he should still go to hospital though. |
stevieLUVSAlex chapter 6 . 6/25/2016 Maybe hotch was a little OOC but given the circumstances i dont think i could have written him any better. Rossi you had down pat. Well done! I LOVE rossi in your stories |
