Nice to see Nick starting to fit in. I may tap that for later fic (planning to have him come to the Hopps family Christmas party) if that's okay.

Carl is also an interesting character. A little one-dimensional, but fun. I have to wonder: how is he such an expert on pred foods? Really, you do a good job all around with the OCs, even though most of them only stick around for a few minutes before vanishing into the crowd.

The ending... I dunno. It seems a little forced, but it works better than some ideas I could see being used here (like Judy's family just hassling them to kiss because kissy kissy). I'm guessing this is going to be either really good or really bad.

This makes for a great take; having them out doing farm work is a really interesting flip side of the way they interacted in the city. The only thing I see missing is their usual banter - which I concede was a given in this chapter since the two of them were apart. The bit about Nick getting covered in oil provided some good humor, though.

The one thing that has me worried is that this seems to be turning into one of those "everyone knows it but them" stories. Those have quite frankly, been done to death in my opinion.

Cute chapter. I'm curious to know how Judy's going to react to pred food; it would certainly put Nick in a bind if he gets her sick.

On the downside, I think there were a few things here which, packaged as cutely as they were, still came out as rather disturbing. Personally, I've never seen a case where a guy pressuring a girl to loosen her views on relationship mores didn't get ugly, and trying to force such a case to not do so is cannot possibly be good for the story when all's said.

And forgot to mention, I really liked it when Nick said to Judy he wouldn't do things for her, 'cause he wants his girlfriend to stay strong and independent. Although, I suppose Nick's past may be causing some difficulties for him at his current "straight" job. For example, limited hang-out with old buddies. Or getting them out of arrest, if they mess up. I think Nick's gone straight with all his heart and now is a committed police officer. Granted, not naive one like Judy, not thinking strictly in black/white categories, he'd probably struggle to gain and keep integrity which I think he appreciates and will come to value as well.

I cant wait to see what happens next. This story is a great fun, thanks for writing! I hope you update soon ;)
