This is definitely one of your best stories, which is really saying something as I absolutely adore your work. For such a brief story, the amount of honest and relatable emotion you jammed in there left me feeling completely wrung out (in a good way). Raw emotion is something that I think a lot of writers struggle with, it can easily feel contrived or over dramatic, but in the story you have made it feel genuine and piercing. Definitely a 'lump in your throat' kind of story. Well done!
