Interesting (and well written) story! I loved your interactions between Baby 5 and Law. I wish their were more fics with Baby 5. I feel like she has the potential to be a very interesting character and I adore Law. Thanks for posting this!

Actually, I'm gonna be honest, Bepo, Shaki, and Penguin all came along at the same time, and Bepo is naturally a mink. Or is this like an AU version?

XD man was hoping to see a crew taking care of injured/sick Law chapter, oh well, guess this story became AU after Bepo but it's still pretty good.

Really enjoyed reading this chapter. Is this the end? You said in the author's note that it is but I think you haven't labeled this story yet as complete :).
Law wanted to save Shachi's sister but he knows that when he stays longer, another member of Donquixote family will manage to capture him. Though it hurts him to make this decision but he had to do this to keep him and his companions safe. He is not a saint, a person who is willing to sacrifice everything just to save others, but that doesn't mean he is evil. In fact, he is more worried about his companions than on himself when they are caught. However, when Bepo and Penguin had told him that it's still ok for them to wait to be able for him to perform the operation, he concedes easily. Once he concedes, he performs the surgery with diligent and care. This action shows that safety of his crew is still the primary concern but I think deep in his heart, he wishes that he can save the girl too, what it only takes is a push from someone to do this. This character also shows in Punk Hazard where he wanted to leave the kids because it will only jeopardize his plans. However, in the end he was able to cure them, thanks to perseverance of Nami.
Law utilizing his Ope Ope no Mi is certainly like a freak show to everyone who is not used to it. Those with weak hearts and stomachs cannot bear witness this 'operation'. It's quite funny how Shachi had continuously fainted everytime he sees Law doing this. Guess it will take some time until he get used to it.
Law is not only a genius surgeon but also a clever tactician. For him to formulate those plans in certain circumstances is definitely way out of league for just a 16 year old boy. No wonder he had survived his teen years running away from Doflamingo.
Really funny how Baby 5 reacted after she find out that Law had literally 'stolen' her heart. LOL, this is the beginning of the cheesiest love team ever.
Aww, Law had definitely found a young fan or rather a bride-to-be, lol. Shachi's reaction is really priceless. Of course, big brother is really protective over his little sister especially when he knows what kind of man does his little sister got attracted to. It's so sad that Shachi had chose to leave his family behind and decided to follow Law in this piracy. Although Shachi hate to admit it, he too is amaze on Law's abilities. Wonder if someday, they will manage to return again.

Arrgghh! The Penguin shake sounds like disgusting even though it is pack with all the nutrients needed. Law had wanted to Penguin to be in his shape knowing that this boy is slightly malnourished.
With the circulating talks regarding Law's success in healing, people had called him many names although some people also put ridiculous things in order to fire up the news.
So that's how Law got Kikoku, a cursed sword. Kikoku seems to be calling for Law, it seems like the sword had sense Law's fearlessness and his desire for revenge. Cursed swords choose their owners, those who are weak-willed may die easily.
Pretty interesting that Shachi had different views on Law. Unlike Bepo and Penguin who instantly had adored Law on their first meeting, Shachi thought that Law is a fake doctor. Not surprising though since Shachi is born in a well-to-do family, he is educated enough to know who are the people to be trusted.
In spite of Shachi's constant pestering on him, Law knows what us Shachi's hidden agenda. In only a few minutes of interaction, he already know that Shachi's sister is sick. Wonder what kind of disease will it be.
Love the omake part, you had emphasize one of Law's good qualities. I too think that Law is some sort of a tough teacher. He doesn't want to do sweet talks but rather he blatantly said his opinion. He doesn't spoonfeed his students, rather he like them to explore, to find out the answers by themselves.

Bepo is still adjusting his life as a bear and he had lost some of his confidence. I think that training he had is something for him to get adjusted with his new body. His bear body is quite heavy though since the muscle mass is quite different.
Finally, they had met Penguin. Maybe Penguin had been given that name because of the way he walks, thus causing him to trip some time. He is the first human whom had thought a talking bear to be quite cool and another human is not afraid to make friends with Bepo. He had a hard life though, but this doesn't make him a bitter person, rather he is a cheerful person and has the ability to see good things on other people. Penguin, like Bepo, had show great respect over Law, but in a different view. If Bepo had respected Law for being a great martial artist, Penguin had respected Law for being a miracle doctor.
No matter where they hide, Doflamingo's allies seems to pop up everywhere, wanting to get Law back. Law had been traumatized with his last encounter with Vergo but in the end he had used his brains to save Penguin without having to meet him. It will be funny if Law had flipped him off while he make an escape. Now that Doflamingo knows that Law is alive and had possessed the Ope Ope no Mi, I think he will bid his time until he get what he wants. I think he will monitoring Law's progress through those years and waiting for what will Law do.
I think Shachi's story is up next. I think Bepo, Penguin and Shachi were the first crew Law had met since this three are with him in the Auction House. They might know a little about Law's past thus Law had trusted them to go with him in certain places where Doflamingo is connected.
Will wait for the next update :D.

I really love to know how the Heart Pirates formed and there are very few fanfiction stories about it. Love this story already.
Though we all know about Bepo's identity, I'm glad that you had sticked with your origin story about Bepo. After what had happened to Law and Law knows that he had to go incognito if he want to escape Doflamingo, it is likely that he would like to have a less or no people to get connected with. Like Bepo's personality here, he is like the Bepo we had learned to love now, someone who is so loyal and friendly to Law. I like it how Bepo had tried many ways to spar with Law but the other doesn't want to. He already called Law his Captain meaning he had such great respect for Law.
What had happened to Bepo was sad and traumatic for him. It is hard to accept that you have to live a life as a bear but Law had no choice. He wanted to save him but his knowledge regarding his Ope Ope no Mi is quite vague so he had to use a technique he only knows. In the end, though Law had tried many times to avoid Bepo, he had no choice to accept him.
