Interesting take on further developing these characters! Very much enjoyed. I agree, Belle's perspective was sort of forgotten at that point in the film.

Cried reading this story so props. It's phenomenal. I'm playing Cogsworth and this so accurately describes how I feel at least during that scene.

This was a beautiful chapter. You explained Belle's thoughts so well. I especially liked how you justified her wanting to leave for her father because the castle would never be "home" without him. I also liked the scene you added with Belle turning down Madame Armoire's offer to bring some of her gowns with her, and how she almost gave in when saw the green one. To me, the whole scene seemed to mirror Belle's overall hesitation to leave the Beast and bury her feelings for him to focus on her father.

I really enjoyed this chapter! You're right, I don't think I've really seen many (if any, at all) stories that have really delved into Belle's emotions during this scene. I've always wondered though, what she thought as she was leaving. Did she think she was leaving for good? Did she assume she'd come back? Or was she too concerned about father for these questions to even cross her mind? You did a really nice job of addressing everything in a way that still felt very cohesive and fit well within the narrative of the story. I like to think that the way you've written it is probably how it happened.

Personally, I think this is the best chapter yet (and also probably the saddest, at least to me). You did a really lovely job of getting into a mother's mindset, and also of staying true to character for both Mrs. Potts and Chip. This chapter actually made me tear up a little - I had to remind myself that the story ends happily!

This had some really unexpectedly cute moments given that it's about such an inherently sad situation. Though all in all, this might be the saddest of the series so far, with Lumiere having to personally break the bad news to the person he loves most. You write these two so well.

I actually teared up a little at Lumiere's and Cogsworth's conversation. You did such a nice job of showing how much they truly care for each other despite all of their bickering. It was sweet and sad at the same time, and both were perfectly in character.

Great update! You portray Lumière and Cogsworth so well! I really like how the both of them agreed to put their differences aside and end the curse on a positive note. I also like how you showed Cogsworth's own frustrations about Belle leaving at the end, because really, bringing her and the Beast together was a team effort. Good job!

I love the idea of looking at this scene from the different characters' perspectives. And this first one was just ... heart wrenching. You did such a nice job of describing the Beast's feelings of guilt and doubt. You just want to reach out to him and reassure him that it's going to turn out all right. I can't wait to see what you have planned for the other characters!

I especially love that Beast acknowledged that by letting Belle go, he was dooming the servants, and felt remorseful about that, even though letting Belle go was the right thing to do. The movie didn't really deal with that, so I'm happy you did!

Ohhhhhh I enjoy this idea and look forward to the updates! Though I have to ask if you would be willing to add in the thoughts of Babette or the Madam ? I think they are also important sevents to the show especially the stage version.
