Yo, I completely understand. I see myself in Zeref and seeing him turned into an abusive asshole is heart breaking. Ways you can improve is telling less and showing more. Use implicate details, not tell us the reasons for everything (like the hand hold) show us symptoms (like Lucy appearing nervous and grabs onto Natsu's hand) and let the readers draw their conclusions. For Fairy Heart, do what you think is best. I am interested to see what else you have in store:3

awe i was hoping it would be a nalu story or she could be with Zeref. But as for ideas, fairy tail welcomes them into the guild and than follow the manga/anime as much as you want. Have them go on missions and make a team. would be great for them to come across Zeref's demons like melody and deloria (spelled wrong). Would love to see their reaction.

Wrong! If you actually read the manga very carefully, tgere is an image of Natsu and Zeref with their parents. Zeref is at most 3 years older, nothing more.
