I love this. Because it's so true. They have this sort of conspiracy of lies and silence that they hang onto until well, in this fic ... right there. *points to the end*

This story is honest and painful, and it shows just how stubborn and stupid we can be when we're trying to not admit something to ourself ... when we're trying to not burden other people ... when we're trying to pretend we're okay. Guess what guys, maybe you aren't okay. Just sayin' ... *looks around* Yeah, maybe not okay.

Love the characterisation and I cheered Karin when she called Thane on his crap. Then Thane finally got a little more real and then ... everyone sort of did. There is still silence at the end, but hopefully a silence that brings some openness afterwards. I like to think it does. Yep. Lovely story.

I think it's a good sign that I yelled DAMMIT ORANGE at my screen as I read this. Thane's fear, even in the face of his acceptance, is so poignant, and Shepard is just so raw and aching.

Why do you write stories that grab my heart and rip it into tiny little pieces? This was such gorgeous writing and such an emotional drabble. Wow. I loved it.

Owie. That was sad. I wish it had been in the game though, that's a waaaay better reaolution than we were actually given. Even just this one scene would have really clinched it for this pairing, for me!
