psychosae chapter 6 . 3/13 Oh my god, this is a genius fic and I wish I would have seen it sooner! I see that its been a couple of years since it's been updated and I hope it hasn't been completely abandoned because it is too good! I haven't come across a Veela/Killgrave fic yet and the idea behind it is complete genius. Love it. |

LPWomer chapter 2 . 6/21/2018 This part was so good!~ “This job was just another role to play. This was just another instance where in the eyes of a few she would be the villain, and in the eyes of others a hero. Unfortunately Harry knew the truth of herself fell in the greyer area. In real life there was no heroes or villains, just people. And that was the most terrifying fact of them all.“ |

Felicity Dream chapter 6 . 3/16/2018 I'm VERY happy to see you back with this. This story is well done and unique. This particular chapter was exciting and really propels the plot forward, and I look forward to where you take this. I do hope you'll one day get back to Counting Cards though~ |
Fredrick Bismarck chapter 1 . 3/16/2018 It took me awhile to pick up this story. I love your other stories, but the focus on Kilgrave as love interest put me off. The recent update put this story on my radar again, and Ive been craving more of your writing after re-reading I See You. Now, I want to see how you handle this. You can have a character exploration examining motivations while having an audience or readers better understand people like Kilgrave. There's nothing wrong with that. Its an important artistic and creative venture and should be done even if its uncomfortable. I get your argument about fictional characters and having a conversation, but there's something to be said about how things are represented and its effect on society. Awareness is one thing and romanticization is another. The form does matter. Its a fine line to walk. One piece of literature may be a drop in the bucket, but media pervades and informs our conscious and unconscious societal ideas. I don't think you can find complete solutions in fictional stories, but I think might be appropriate to critique media that might be perceived as romanticizing certain themes without some mitigating lesson, cautionary warning, or with the explicit understanding of fantasy even with itself being a fictional work. Criticism is after all part of the continued awareness and conversation. |
