When I read the summary of this story, I really couldn’t help myself! I just had to know what you did here, because the premise is so intriguing!

I love the way you portray the friendship between the two girls - it's very natural and authentic, and you can see how much trust and fun lies between them. It's really sweet and a little funny to read. I must say, though, I agree with Marlene. That poem isn't the best I've ever read!

I love how Marlene's reaction is a very logical disgust, but she tries to quieten that and help her friend. I thought that was really sweet and the sign of a true friendship. Narcissa's reaction was humorous to read and very in character, though I like how the hint that Bellatrix felt the same way came in her lack of reaction to her sister's news.

I really like the ending, and how the whole plot develops quite slowly. It makes it really seem plausible! It's certainly an interesting take on the Romeo and Juliet idea, and it was enjoyable to read. It does leave a lot of questions, but I kind of like that open-endedness.

I never suspected it was about Bellatrix, good work! At first I did thought about James, and even if I am not a fan of him, I thought it plausible. Then I suspected Severus because ot was logical to me, but never ever suspected it would be Bellatrix, a not crazy yet Bellatrix. It thi k the title is very well chosen as it reflects Lily's fascination.

I am all for getting out random pairings, as I find it gives the opportunity to try something new and go out of our comfort zone/usual characters or settings.

Lily and Bella! Wow, that's not a pairing I would have predicted but I like how you managed to make it work in a slightly twisted way that actually doesn't feel untrue to either of their characters. I enjoyed how you built the mystery in the beginning, giving little clues about who Lily's crush might be based on the poem. I actually guessed it would be Marlene. And then Marlene guessed that it was a Black...but not Bella! Very sneaky.

My favorite part was how Marlene tries to comfort Lily by saying she’ll get over the crush since, “Hey, it’s only a matter of time before she kills someone.” The dark humor of that made me smile.

I also like how we could tell Bellatrix's affection for her just from the fact that she *didn't* do anything horrible to Lily. I actually could see how Lily might be attracted to Bella...since they're such opposites, I wonder if the "good girl" in Lily really might have a crush on the "bad girl" in Bellatrix.
