Ana chapter 15 . 7/19 I'm so glad you're back! I get you i take ages to write too it happens to everyone lol Anyways I loved the chapter! This fic is one of the most original, interesting and thought provoking ones i've read. I think you're handling it all quite well and i can't wait to read more :) |
but seriously chapter 5 . 5/12 Aww, Matt struggling to control these fellas is so human and endearing. He's just doing his best! |
but seriously chapter 5 . 5/12 I don't know if you meant it to be, but I found Klaus' paranoia (feeling out walls for secret entrances, knowing how to lip read) both hilarious in a dry sort of way, but also really sad. I love how fleshed out these characters are and how you can manage to convey a lot in just a short sentence. And I especially love the small relationships building between the character. I do love an ensemble fic. Good pacing so far! |
but seriously chapter 1 . 5/12 Oh, what an interesting start! I've not read anything like this myself and was a bit apprehensive of this coming in, but as I read more I couldn't help but admire how you wove in each characters traits with a specific disorder. It was quite pleasing to me since my pet peeve is OOC-ness in fic, which hasn't been the case so far. Looking forward to reading the next chapters. |
Cameron Smith-Mcquillan chapter 14 . 3/4/2019 Good story I do hope your finish it I want to see how it ends |
TwilightHybrid chapter 14 . 12/11/2017 I love this whole chapter. I love how everything was written. Bonnie/Kai: I love that she stood up to him and didn't let what he said to her get to her that much. And by the way Bonnie was talking, she kinda hit the nail on the coffin with Kai. Hell maybe even hit a nerve because he got really defensive towards her. However, those last words he said stuck with her and it may just have put Kai and Katherine's plan into action sooner than what they think. Hayley/Tyler: It seems they are getting along in their own little way. I mean Hayley still have this shitty ass attitude but I kinda feel where she's coming from. Hell, she just wants to do her little 3 months and get the hell out of dodge and find her daughter. From her standpoint, she is not there to gain friends...she's there to do her time and leave. And I totally feel her on that...hell I'm like that with work lol. Rebekah/Kol: moment was sweet. He was there for his sister despite all they do is argue and for Finn to deny her to talk to her mom was a pretty shitty move. If I was in her shoes, I'll feel the same way about my parents. But why was the three of them placed in this institution? Klaus/Caroline: moment was too sweet. He seeked her out just for some company. It seems he has more of a connection to Caroline than to anyone else in their group. I like that Caroline can sense when Klaus is about to shut down. I love how she was open (only to him) and told him her story. And even though it took him some time, he shared his. I can definitely see something develop between them despite where they are. Poor Matt, he's trying. I love that Elena is finally out and is doing well...thanks to Damon, Bonnie and Caroline. I hope over time the relationship between Elena/Jeremy will work out and she can be the sister he needs. She needs more people in her corner. Can't wait for the next chapter. Update soon! |
Sage1998C chapter 14 . 12/8/2017 Yes more Bonnie and Kai scenes :) |
TwilightHybrid chapter 13 . 9/29/2017 Thank you for the back story chapter on Kai. I was wondered what made his crazy ass snap and now I know your version of his life. And its a pretty fucked up at that. Because he was getting abused he took his frustrations out on the siblings and not the man that did all the shit to him. My craziness would've went straight to his ass for what he did. But in Kai's eyes he blamed the siblings because he felt they didn't love him when in reality by Joe's confession, they were afraid of their dad. And they felt if they stepped in, they would've gotten the same treatment as Kai. But why did his dad hate him the most? Out of all the kids they had, why Kai? Did their dad see something in him that the others didn't? I don't know my mind is just running with this back story lol. But for real, I hope that visit from his twin somewhat do a little changing for Kai...but than again, Kai wouldn't be Kai without a little mischief. Please update soon! |
JerricaHMcfarl3 chapter 13 . 9/26/2017 love how this chapter was done really wish there were more Kai and Bonnie moments tho |
Zayviah chapter 12 . 9/25/2017 *for being a happy kid? |
Zayviah chapter 12 . 9/25/2017 ka "Tammy" on AO3 aka TammyZayviahL_98: Oh, my poor Kai. I hate the woman who gave birth him. I hate Joshua. What mother could neglect her child like his did to Kai? It isn't fair to Kai. The other kids got treated right and turned out good. Our Kai got beat for a happy kid? "He remembered that small kid he used to be, how innocent he had started off as. He remembered loving the feel of dewy grass beneath his feet, the sun kissing his face, watching and giggling at cartoons, stealing from the cookie jar and picking flowers from the garden. But Kai also remembered Joshua hitting him when he found him outside. Kai remembered Joshua's screams when he found him in front of the TV. Kai remembered being locked in his room for whole days when Joshua saw the crumbs around his mouth. Kai remembered Joshua shoving dirt in his eyes and mouth when he found the withered flowers under his bed." I hate Joshua in any reality, but my hate for this one knows no bounds. I mean what the Hell is wrong with him. What did Kai even do to deserve his hate and mistreatment and neglect? Nothing of course. No child deserves that. What is Joshua's reasoning for that? I'm really curious. |
ScarletRose chapter 13 . 9/25/2017 Hey thanks for your wishes. My results aren't out yet but hope your wishes comes true :) An entire chapter dedicated to Kai is a dream come true. I just loved that line, "It wasn't fair what you did to us. But it also wasn't fair what happened to you." It just sums up the Parker family so well. In all technicality, they aren't all that different from the Salvatores or Mikaelsons or Gerards in terms of family structure (abusive father, negligent mother, one favored sibling, one abused) but they kind of take away the sort of rose-tinted glasses the viewers like myself had gotten used to, in terms of TVD's famous anti-heroes shaped by this abuse. Unlike a Damon or Klaus or Marcel who were shown as capable or even deserving of being saved (by love of a woman or love of a child or love of his people), Kai was simply too past the point of saving. With all of the prior characters we were shown, from their very starting point, they themselves were capable of extreme love even at their worst(Damon loved Katherine even without his humanity, he loved Elena without his humanity and his memories, Klaus loved Rebekah, Marcel genuinely loved his city, his fellow vampires and of course his truly eternal love for Rebekah as well as Klaus) but Kai was introduced as someone genuinely incapable of love for anyone or anything. He was just so glorious as a villain, that murder by headphones was the most creative murder on TVD history. As a villain Kai surpassed Klaus and Klaus span his own show, I don't know what's a better compliment. And you explore him so well, his father's abuse utterly ruining him and yet its not possible (at least for me) to sympathize with him after he killed his child siblings. And yes, none of it was fair, including Luke's death and those bastards transferring Jo's babies to Caroline's womb. The Parkers had a certain level of grotesqueness that none of the other families could quite match. And you conveyed that so well. Last chapter also we heard of a father abusing his children and basically driving them insane but I find this one so much more disturbing but heart-breaking at the same time. Maybe because Jo is not Rebekah, you know, a girl who would charge at her father with a sword to protect her brother but then again, given that same girl ended up time and time again with a dagger to her heart courtesy that same brother, maybe Jo was wiser all along. Its difficult to decide. (I really need to watch some Ross and Monica vids after this!). I love how you are taking your time exploring all of them meticulously. It speaks of genuine dedication to your art. God you must be so much younger than me! I started watching the show when I was 23. In my country we got access to American Television only in our twenties and so, I watched a lot of shows targeted for teenagers when I was in my early twenties and already working in an MNC and staying alone in a different city from my parents and childhood friends. That affects a lot of perspective and Stefan is just one among a lot of CW characters I find abhorrent but who remain popular, like Dan from Gossip Girl, Lucas from One Tree Hill, etc (Seriously, why do people even like Lucas and Peyton, they were awful human beings?). A lot of time has passed and I am now pursuing my Masters nearer home but my love for Damon Salvatore and Delena seems to be quite enduring hence my presence on this site. I agree with the other reviewer that Steroline were built up for a long time which I had recognized in season 4 as well and I mentioned this in my review, that they had a very good foundation except I feel that just makes their case worse since the writers let all that excellent build-up go to waste. You hit the nail on the head when you said that it appeared they were paired up because they were out of options. It is my understanding that it was not the writer's intent but that is definitely how it came across on our screens. I mentioned Naruto previously and they were able to make Sakura's love story work because they evolved her feelings along with her character evolution. As Sakura grew from a spoilt, awful girl to a truly heroic young woman, her silly, frivolous crush on Sasuke grew into a mature, deep love. The writers simply did not do this with Caroline. Like you said, Klamille is dislikeable, Steroline feels wrong; and its because it wasn't written right. They never evolved Caroline's feelings from a juvenile infatuation and hero-worship and that's a pity because they pulled it off marvelously with Rebel (Marcel was an actual child when he started off crushing on Rebekah but what they had as adults was decidedly much more mature and deep and real and that's why endurable across centuries). Instead, to accomodate such feelings they regressed Caroline to that same horrible girl from the pilot. That was disastrous in itself. Except to add to it, they didn't allow Stefan the opportunity to fall for Caroline on his own but had half the cast badger him about it(maybe because Nina was leaving at the end of the season and they needed another major couple asap to replace Delena), introduced Liz's death plot which just spelt the death knell of Caroline's character(I found it impossible to like her from that point forward but I didn't start hating her till the season 7 finale) when he was practically arm-twisted to hurry up and fall for her according to her convenience and even after Paul salvaged as much of the situation as he could with his excellent performance (I found Candice and Ian very repetitive from season 5 but I guess that's not really their fault given their characters were progressively regressed from that point or as in Ian's case, one step forward one step back) they thought introducing another love triangle would be a good idea. As a result, what translated on screen was that Stefan fell for Caroline because she was his only option in season 6 and as soon as he found a second option he left her. Its just simply poor quality writing, it has nothing to do with other ships. Sure they were superficially cute but a lot of people found Stelena beautiful when it was in practice, an older man deliberately emotionally manipulating and exploiting a vulnerable orphaned teenager for his selfish reasons, bordering on emotional abuse. Or Haylijah which practically tried to justify adultery. The fact that such relations were romanticized and promoted made me so mad, unlike Gossip Girl where the protagonist's negative actions were always called out and the show-runners took responsibility for their work. I am glad Stefan died and all his romances failed. It was the only justice the show could offer. However, there is no use wasting breath on a failed television romance, especially given that we might get closure on Klaroline this year, no matter what that closure may be. In the meantime, best of luck sorting yourself out. |
SusieB chapter 13 . 9/25/2017 Hey, I love the way you are writing. This is story! Can't wait for another chapter :-) .. Although I have to disagree with you, when it comes to Steroline :-) .. Their relationship was slowly building up since s02e02 :-) .. For me it was totally obvious that there is going to be something more between them in season 4 on the prom, when Caroline told Stefan that he will fall in love without even realizing it :-) .. I like them better than Stelena, bc yeah, they were cute, but Steroline was cute, sweet and funny :-) .. |
ScarletRose chapter 12 . 9/22/2017 I am so glad you updated. My exams just got over and I jumped into it and loved it. Kol is one of my all time favorite characters and I loved the insight into it. I love Kolvina and like the idea of Kennet so this chapter was especially fun for me. Also, Rebekah, I completely adore Rebekah and I loved how you correctly portrayed that she is in fact ten times stronger and braver than her brothers can ever hope to be. And Matt, its so nice to find another person who appreciates all that Matt Donovan is. The fact that he survived a terrible family situation with not just his sanity but innate goodness intact speaks volumes about his strength and bravery. On the show as well, I felt Matt was the only character who truly survived. Like Damon, Rebekah, Katherine who all survived the adversities life threw at them at varying costs to their souls, Bonnie and Elena too, in a way let life corrupt them, though it may be argued that given their genetics, it would only have been a matter of time before they sought out corruption on their own. Jeremy, Caroline and Tyler were self-centered, indulgent, greedy brats to start with and except Tyler none of them had any real growth. But Matt is good. He remains good throughout, and like Batman, despite toughening up due to situations, continues to unfailingly care about his fellow man. That enduring capacity to care, is what makes him the most(only) triumphant hero of the TVD/TO universe. I know I have said this before but I love Matt's role in this story, how he is, in a way, despite being apparently powerless the most powerful of them all. As for everyone's confessions about their parents, most of them were quite perfect(especially the Mikaelsons) except for two. Katherine and Damon are my absolute favorite TVD characters and the primary reason I started watching this show and the sole reason I kept on watching, so I am a little too much invested in them, more than normal really. And I love your story so I am nitpicking because none of what you wrote is wrong in any sense but I feel things can be enhanced in case of two characters. Now Katherine, all you wrote was absolutely correct except, her parents were not the only thing that pushed her over the edge into being so magnificently evil, Klaus and Elijah were also very important factors, especially her Lord Elijah. What is so excellent in the TVD writing is how complementary Damon and Katherine are. Katherine is a fabulously evil person, who is unconditionally in love with Elijah. Why do I say this? Unlike all her other playthings, some more preferred than others (Salvatores), Elijah is the only person in the world Katherine is capable of forgiving and incapable of being selfish with. Elijah was an active participant of a ruse to sacrifice her under the guise of marriage, then he most probably held the door while Klaus slaughtered her family, he chased her across the world for 5 centuries and locked her in a tomb, crucifying her, for literally, not rolling over and dying according to his brothers convenience. He loved her, enough to try to find a way to save her life but not enough to disturb his brother's plans. He loved her enough to want a life with her but not enough to not turn his back on her the minute his brother needed him. He loved her enough to try to bargain for her life with his brother but not enough to visit her at her deathbed because his brother's baby-mama and kingdom needed babysitting (while said brother enjoys outdoor sex). Now, Elijah has treated a lot of women deplorably for his brothers except unlike Celeste or Aya. Katherine, this marvelously evil woman, is the only one to not hold it against him. When she handed him the cure, she didn't simply hand over her freedom to him, she handed over her once chance at vengeance, she handed over her one chance at a better life to him, unconditionally. I remember HollywoodLife had written in its review that it was incredibly romantic or incredibly stupid, whichever way you chose to look at it. He leaves her even after that but the minute she sees him again(Damon's mirage) she softens and welcomes him. Elijah is the love of her life, a life spanning 5 centuries and incredible difficulties and hardships all at the behest of his brother and him and the fact that despite all of that she is still capable of such forgiveness and unconditional giving when it comes to him speaks for itself what he means to her. So, the betrayal in 1492 by this man, it played a crucial part in shaping Katherine Pierce from Elijah's Katerina. Now I know it is impossible to incorporate this relation in your story but what I meant was, maybe add a romantic betrayal and tragedy to Katherine's back-story, it will be more analogous to canon. What I find even more fascinating is that the writers from the beginning, had Damon love Elena in the same unconditional way as Katherine loves Elijah and that comes a full circle because Katherine is the one who taught Damon to love; and the fact that he is the only person who never questions her love for Elijah, he is the only person to understand what Elijah means to her and use it to hurt her the same way she hurt him in 2x01, it was such a perfect revenge and again, he learnt it from her only, how he essentially turns into Frankenstein's monster for her because he had in fact set out to create a monster from a kind young man just out of boredom. TVD writing was at its finest when dealing with Damon and Katherine, the last episode doesn't count since season 8 was simply bad, wasteful writing overall. Now, the other thing, Damon. Again, all the points you mentioned are valid except they are over-simplified. Damon is a character, who the writers have confessed, is at his core Rhett Butler. We also see shades of other dark heroes or anti-heroes in him, most notably Heathcliffe. His problem is not an inferiority complex but rather his frustration at the world because he knows he is far superior than Stefan can ever hope to be. Damon's relation with his father can best be described as that of the bully who is actually scared and weak so picks at the superficially weak child out of frustration of not being able to break him. Damon is immensely strong, stronger than everyone else in his family and that intimidates them to varying degrees. Strong why? Because he has the capability, the intelligence to see and analyse the world according his own view point and not simply conform to a prescribed majoritarian view. And then he has the courage and strength to stick to what he believes is right as opposed to what the world would rather have him believe for their convenience. I don't know if you have read Gone with the Wind or not, but there is a scene where Ashley tells Scarlet the fundamental difference between him and Rhett is that even though they both knew the war was wrong Rhett refused to go along with the popular opinion and fought for his stand while Ashley was too weak and cowardly to take a stand for what he believed to be right. Yet, it is Ashley who is loved by all, including Scarlett, whereby we have Rhett's frustration and eventual devolution until in the end he decides to save himself and leaves. Heathcliffe doesn't even want to save himself, he is justified in seeking revenge against those who have wronged him, except he loves Cathy too much to deliberately hurt her and once faced with her death he happily gives way to self-destruction in hopes of reuniting with her sooner rather than later. Both of these characters, and also vampires like Spike and Erik to some extent, have the same problem. They are compared against another male who is neither stronger nor brave nor smarter nor actually kinder than them but who manipulate the world to see their weakness and cowardice as 'goodness' and get away with it. Guiseppe hated Damon because Damon was a non-conformist and he could walk the talk. He hated him because despite severe physical and mental abuse he couldn't get Damon to abandon his beliefs. He hated Damon not just because Damon was against slavery and white supremacy and everything the confederacy represented but he actually had the guts to leave the confederacy because of his belief system despite being a 'hero soldier', for being able to withstand ridicule and ostracisation for is ideals when he could have easily gained respect and heroism for abandoning them. He hated Damon because despite being mild-mannered and sweet, Damon was a stronger 'man' than Guiseppe or his favorite son Stefan could ever hope to be. Stefan in turn was always a hypocrite who had no loyalty to anyone except himself. He lived in a household where his father and brother held two opposing views with regard to slavery so he was not ignorant but he never agreed with Damon. Sure, he said Damon should be respected for being loyal to his ideals but never actually agreed with those ideals, which wouldn't be a problem if he didn't project himself as kind and pure-hearted. Somebody who is kind can never support slavery, can never support a war for slavery. Which also explains his Ripper tendencies, his blood-lust as a vampire overrides every other instinct, as a human his self-service overrode any value on human life. Unlike Elijah who was too scared of Mikael to try to save Klaus, Damon despite being terrified of Guiseppe, even as a child tried his best to shield Stefan from physical abuse. Stefan took full advantage of that and never took responsibility of his own actions which grew into his habit of always painting Damon as the bad guy as an adult. Their relationship is best described in their childhood game of hide and seek. Stefan could never win the game fairly so he hid in their father's office where they were never allowed, because he knew Damon wouldn't come in even though he knew Stefan was inside because he didn't want their father to catch Stefan, Stefan hid there, endangering them both knowing full well that Damon will forfeit the game to protect Stefan and that would be the only way he would ever win. This manipulation and hypocrisy is innate to Stefan as a character. Damon knows this but loves Stef too much to ever fully call him out on it(the closest he came was in season 1 when he didn't have his humanity but it was still mild and never a real confrontation) and Stefan knows it and banks on in. This frustration and helplessness is at the root of Damon's character, what erodes a genuinely compassionate, brave human into a full-blown monster. It is not simply an inferiority complex but a much more complicated frustration and outrage over the genuine unfairness of his life and his helplessness at loving the very person at the center of this unfairness. I really liked how you worded Damon's statement, he never tries to justify or defend himself, in fact he pretty much directs the blame towards himself from his family, he doesn't disagree with his father's behavior or even mentions that Lily was a self-involved negligent mother, or Stefan's role in all of it or even the abuse all of which indicate his deep self-loathing but Matt's analysis was severely, severely lacking. I really hope you touch upon that. I liked Stefan's suicide in the finale very much, I had once read that Stefan's emotional dependence on Damon stems from the fact that without Damon to offset him, without his scapegoat he cannot hide behind this facade of the 'good brother', he cannot keep up his pretense of being a good guy. With Enzo's death and him trying to destroy Mystic Falls in quick succession, there was nowhere left for him to hide, Matt and Bonnie were no longer willing to overlook his transgressions (I love the subtlety of Bonnie calling him and not Damon to inform about someone needing to die with Katherine, that very specific and unrepentant nudge Bonnie gave him) and when faced with the option of escapism or actually working to earn redemption in a world and life without Damon, true to form he chose escapism, Caroline notwithstanding, as expected. I am pretty sure its obvious from my rant that I am a Stefan hater so you can understand how difficult stomaching Steroline was for me. I will say this, Steroline definitely made me get over Klaroline, not because I liked Steroline itself but because by the end of season 7 I absolutely hated Caroline when once I had adored her. The chemistry was never a problem for m since I felt if left alone Paul and Candice had great chemistry (the prom scene in season 4 and the humanity-less scenes of season 6) but the writers essentially wanted to position Steroline as an anti-Delena/Klaroline/Steferine couple, the couple without any obvious chemistry but once who cuddled on a couch and watched Netflix. There is nothing wrong in those couples except that any couple to worth rooting for they need to have an actual strong bond based on true love and chemistry only helps in that, it doesn't hurt. A couple without much romantic chemistry does not automatically become a more profound couple. Since you watch Game of Thrones, look at Cat and Ned, they are a solid couple without any obvious chemistry but their bunch of kids speak for themselves. I remember reading in TV Fanatic's review of a TO episode that Klamille's usp was that he didn't want to tear her clothes off, it set Camille apart from all his other romantic interests. They were not wrong but I hardly think that is enough to sustain a couple. I firmly believe, sexual chemistry or a lack of it does not impact the long-term sustainability of a couple. While I found them mind-numbingly boring, I have to admit, compared to Steroline, Klamille were much more genuine. I do believe if Camille had lived Klaus would have stuck to her and she would have made it worth his while. Despite never being exciting(whom am I kidding, I personally found them sleep-inducing) Klaus and Camille actually genuinely loved one another, enough to sacrifice their self-interests for one another. They would have worked(and put me to sleep). Steroline had no hope for a future because their relationship, just like Stelena was built largely on make-believe and self-service and both are equally to blame. I know a lot of people find their friendship cute but I have never been a fan of that friendship. In my opinion, it was less a friendship and more a one-sided crush/hero-worship. Stefan never cared for Caroline in unless he needed her. He let Damon abuse her until the point when Damon made a move on Elena, when Stefan used Caroline to knock out Damon. Caroline herself was inconsequential to him. Damon saved Caroline in the hospital for Liz, Stefan didn't even show up. Stefan was silent when Damon wanted to kill her, Elena was the one arguing with him and Elena was the one who stood in front of a stake for Caroline. If Elena had not been present, Stefan would have let Damon kill her to avoid an inconvenience and then absolve himself of all responsibility and squarely blame everything on Damon (just like the Mason case). He took Caroline hunting a couple of times (for Elena) where without any consideration to new vamp Caroline's needs he tried to indoctrinate her to his disastrous animal blood routine. When Caroline was kidnapped to be sacrificed Damon risked his life to free her and then threw himself in front of a werewolf for her, Stefan went on a trip with Elena even though there were already 3 back-up plans in place for Elena to come back to life after the ritual. He ignored her staunchly after that and it was only when it became apparent to him in early season 4 that separating Elena and Damon wouldn't be so easy, he called on Caroline for help, whence Caroline proceeded to wave Stelena pompoms and trying her best to force Elena into Stefan's arms, disregarding every way in which Stefan has wronged Elena and what Elena wants or needs or deserves, while secretly pining for Stefan herself (she confesses to always wanting to marry him at their wedding alter) all the while taking Klaus and Tyler for a ride and getting whatever cash or expensive item she can out of Klaus while claiming to love Tyler. This is not a friendship, its a disaster. Damon and Alaric make better friends despite the numerous times they have killed each other. I tried giving them a chance at the beginning of season 6 because Klaus was obviously moving on with Cami and Steroline was inevitable from season 4, and now that I look back, from day 1 when he turned her down. I have to admit they had a good foundation and could have been like Sakura and Itachi from Naruto, my bad (Sakura has a great character arc and finally wins the guy of her dreams, instead Caroline regresses as a character and is essentially Stefan's consolation prize whom he discards the minute he finds another option (Valerie)) and I felt the Stefan-Caroline-Klaus triangle could have genuine ramifications like the Oracle-Nightwing-Starfire triangle where you have a protagonist genuinely torn between two choices, one representing home the other the world, one representing roots the other dreams. Nope, it was all my bad and Steroline were a veritable disaster waiting to happen. He loved her because of what she did for him, (which is basically every single one of Stefan's relations, romantic as well as platonic as well as familial) while Klaus, even though he only 'fancied' her, he did it because who she was. She loved him because she viewed him as a trophy, a manifestation of not only a childish infatuation but one of her own detrimental superficiality and pettiness. Still, the writers could have made them work. The actors, especially Paul was very good in the scenes, I love his expression in the scene when he hears her sing at her mother's funeral like he is actually seeing her for the first time, we actually see him fall for her and when you have such bankable, talented actors, its a shame that you hand them sub-standard scripts. They were a fair-weather couple and if the writers had kept the weather fair, played to Steroline's promised strength that they were a drama-free stable couple, they could have sailed through the last two seasons. Instead, the show-runners decided to run them into troubled waters and throw crisis after crisis at them, not a single one they were equipped to survive and when someone decided to introduce another love triangle (Valerie) it was simply the death-knell. I don't blame the actors or even the people who conceived the idea of Steroline early on but the later show-runners and writers simply ensured that Steroline would be a monumental failure. He leaves her for another woman and comes back only when said woman leaves him, she leaves her kids for him but decides to leave him at the first sign of trouble. It isn't simply that it was a failure of a romance or relationship but it was detrimental to their individual characters. I have always hated Stefan so I expected nothing better from him but Caroline's degeneration hurt. I wouldn't have cared if she had died in the end, that's how bad Steroline impacted me. I have ranted inordinately long, extremely sorry for that but you kind of get me on a roll. Your chapter qualities are great so I don't mind the sparse updates but do keep up the good work. I look forward to conversing with you again. P.S. Did you see the video of Tina Fey eating sheet cake?Isn't that woman an absolute inspiration! |
TwilightHybrid chapter 12 . 8/10/2017 This story gets better and better. I like that Matt started off with his own story to show that he has had issues as well but he has gotten past them and that they can too. But I'm not so sure with this bunch. I'm glad mostly everyone got their chance to tell about their parents but you can never say what 'The Mikealsons' have been through is boring. Those three have had some hard lives. Can't wait for more from them. I wonder what Kai will say about his parents. Please update soon! |
