HAH! I had a feeling the reason why Yamamoto was so parental on Shiro-Chan might be a cause he is a dragon also! But I didn’t know about Aizen being the Phoenix weirder but it does make sense in this fanfic. FYI loving this so far and can’t wait to finish.

What the hell happened to Ichigo? Why were they not married yet? What will happen to the child? You wrapped things up in such a pretty bow and dashed it all!

I love this story for all it does, but please tell me there are plans for some kind of sequel. I just have not had enough of Ichigo and Toshiko.

What a cruel reminder of how the world can be. I wish people could, at the very least, be tolerant of another person's decisions on how they can be happy, to accept what they choose if only because it makes that person happy, especially for people as genuinely good as Hitsugaya. But there will always be the people who can't affept that, instead choosing to hurt others over with their closed minds.

Such a cruel reality, and one that I am sorry she had to endure.

Oh this story was wonderful! I rarely read fics like these but when I do, they are usually worth the time! This is one of those fics, and I'm glad Toushirou, I'm sorry, Toshiko got her happy ending after everything that's happened to her! And with Ichigo to boot! Still surprised with a few twists here and there (not spoiling!), but it was overall a good read!

I've been blazing through this story lol. I know it's been a while since you wrote it but I've only recently come across it, and I wanted to say that this is the only thing the Bleach fandom has produced that made me feel genuinely bad for Aizen in the near decade I've been in it. Most everyone else I've seen has the tendency to downplay just how horrible Aizen's actions were, either by saying the actions themselves weren't bad or the people he affected's reactions were overblown.

This is the first story I've seen give a believable reason as to why Aizen did what he did while still retaining the horrific aspects of his actions, while also giving a believable explanation as to why either A) he was actually the good guy all along or B) people, especially those most affacted by his actions, could or would forgive him, and amazingly this story did both.

To maybe give a shorter relay of my emotions reading this, I'll just say this: In Bleach Canon verse, I hate Aizen and laughed when he got sealed away and started screaming like a sore loser. Here, I cried reading this story's background of him and his reactions to getting his human emotions back combined with seeing his son.

I haven't finished yet, but however the story turns out I'll always love this part of the story (:
