I'm really enjoying this! I'm a very recent fan of Broadchurch, and I was so glad to find this story. It definitely brings more to the characters, especially Alec, Ellie, and Tom. I'm happy that Alec and Ellie are getting together, but also wondering how Tom will accept it.

This story was a roller coaster. My heart broke for Ellie. I love strong, protecting Alec. That was a great ending. I definitely think Alec was put in Broadchurch to protect Ellie in his own way.

Love the ending with wee Fred and Ellie snuggled into Hardy and she's content knowing that she is loved and able to return love-perfect! oh my goodness! this was such a fantastic chapter! your perspective from Hardy in the courtroom was excellent. the beach scene between them just about did me in. I could just picture them on the beach with Alec giving her the bracelet and their kiss. such a beautiful story. you did an amazing job on this! well done!

Okay, I absolutely adore this story. Seriously, one of my favorite fanfics ever! I recently discovered Broadchurch when I was sick with the flu and binged watched both seasons in like 2 days. I never would have thought that I would ship Alec and Ellie when the show started, but by the end of the 2nd season I was all about it. I was so happy to find your story. It is so nuanced and develops the characters evenly and with great depth. You build their relationship with care. It's not rushed and it's believable that their friendship would grow into something more. Even though they are so weighted down with their emotional baggage you see how they are healing each other with each chapter. Ellie is so heartbreaking at times it just makes you cry and I just simply love your characterization of Alec. That last bit in this last chapter about his capacity to love even though he had been through so much perfectly captures him.

I look forward to your next chapter. I was happy to see that you had updated this recently so you are still writing it. I hate it when I get emotionally drawn into a story and the writer doesn't finish it. Take your time, this is one worth waiting for-well, don't take too much time! :)

It is late at night when I am writing this, but I just want to say thath this chapter was absolutely amazing! It almost broke my heart, really!

I have read only four chapters yet, but I think this story is really great. I was looking for story like that about Hardy and Miller, where the romans is not so obvious from the begining. Of course it is somewhere there, but there is also a lot of friendship. It is wonredful how Alec is looking after Ellie, how he is helping her. In conclusion, it is really interesting short story, one of the best I have ever read.

I loved the party. And I love it whenever Ellie and Daisy double-team Alec. : )
