I really really loved this fic! there was everything from fluff to angst and it was all so good! Ed and Winry's interactions were so in-character, and I really loved their dynamic and the way their relationship developed.

Why this story hasn't more reviews? Wtf!? Really, is pretty awesome! Please, keep going with this!

This fic satisfies me on multiple levels. It's excellently written, paced well, and the thematic elements are a welcome relief from much of the usual tropes on this site. I enjoy angsty love stories that speak of edward's time in the military and do it with some accuracy to real life. You've either done your research well, or you have close ties to the military yourself. I grew up in a military family so it's refreshing to see his military career written in a believable way. I'm also enchanted by the angle of having them work in live television; I work in live television and once again I can tell that you either work in it yourself or you've done your research well. I also like that you've blended the world of Amestris with elements of our modern world -though at times I struggled to decipher exactly what time period your story is meant to take place.

Considering the interesting and unusual story you've written, I'd like to make a friendly offer for you to read one of mine. It's called Perfect Blood, and I think you'll enjoy it for many reasons similar to why I've enjoyed your story so much. Our stories are undeniably different, but share angst, dark imagery, military corruption, and romance. I always struggle to find satisfying stories on this site and I always appreciate any good leads, so when I come across someone who seems to write similarly to myself I like to pay the gesture forward.

As a with major depressive disorder I want to thank you. Your story accurately portrayed what it's like to just be unable to get out of bed...even knowing you should, you just can't. And your support of mental health awareness is laudable.

Two things though.

I have a small issue with Izumi disclosing what should be privileged information about Winry to Ed. Even if Izumi was fairly certain Winry was alright with it, without signed consent she couldn't tell Ed.

Also, it's important to note people other than soldiers can suffer PTSD. Any event that has a traumatic impact on a person can leave them suffering from PTSD. Verbal abuse, physical abuse, witnessing something like death or injury. Often it's only associated with extreme cases like soldiers and rape, but most anything can cause it if it's had a traumatic effect on the person.

So if someone says not to do or mention something in their company because it impacts them negatively, it should be respected in general. And the trigger might not manifest for years after the trauma.

When my depression flares, trains can trigger panic attacks for me, because when I was six my older cousin used one to carry out suicide. I wasn't there, and I only vaguely remember him, but it's the connections between that and my own emotions, you know? Just an example.

But overall, I love the message you're sending. Any stigma-free message helps!

This was really a fun story and very different than the usual A.U. I enjoyed it to pieces.

I feel so bad for Ed and Lan Fan having to go through all of this but I know they have the support to get make it. Definitely a very well done and touching chapter. I am curious how Lan Fan is doing with it also as to how Winry, Al and the rest dealt with hearing they were injured and continue to.
