Lol I can just imagine in a big fight with rin and yukio against some demon or something and rin pulling out his badass sword and lighting on fire and all that but then there’s just yukio who’s all “lemme just check the time” and pulls out an old ass pocket watch and just randomly lights on fire XD

Wow amazing

That was brilliant.

You did a marvellous job with both brothers, capturing not only their voices but also their personalities; I could really see/hear them as I was reading.

It was a nice follow up and fitted in perfectly with what we saw onscreen. Particularly Rin taking such a drastic, unexpected action to help his brother come to terms with his newly acquired flames and begin to learn to control them.

Despite the necessary angst this also still maintained the right level of customary humour. I chuckled to myself at Rin being indignant Yukio bit him, and at the idea Yukio could have been saddled with a rather girly fan instead of a watch!

The ending was lovely, a nice heart-warming moment between the two that perfectly captures the bond they share without being at all over the top. This line just summed it all up beautifully;

"At those words, a lump knotted painfully in Yukio's throat but in spite of it, he smiled. And wondered yet again how the sibling he once thought of as a lost soul could be the one to show him what true faith really looked like"

That was beautiful. I never truly liked the "now what?" We were left on. I mean, Yukio gets demonic powers and that's the end of it? I really loved how you portrayed this. And I can definitely see Rin acting out that part. The part of the villain. This is really well written and I love it. Plus, you added the perfect touch with brotherly fluff at the very end. Amazing.

I've already said so, but, again, I absolutely love this. It fills that great void of, "Okay, Yukio has demon powers, but now what?" that the anime left us with. And, you hit all the points of "now what?" that most intrigue me. Yukio's feelings about his new powers and physical changes, how it is that he's not constantly engulfed in flames, and his sealing. On top of all that, you present it through an exciting mystery/fight scene (which I guessed the resolution of only because of our talks), and it all ends in a few moments of always-welcome brotherliness. Oh, and I love the little revelation at the end about the brothers *belonging* in Assiah. So, so squee-worthy.

Pretty great. Really nice idea, I never really considered how Yukio would get his fire sealed.
