It occurs to me that when she says "how dare you betray the love of your friends", she doesn't necessarily include herself in that. Does she? Because it's almost like she expects him to "betray her love" anyway? Or that he doesn't care she loves him and that it will hurt her.

Oh, this was lovely. So sorry I didn't review every chapter, but I simply galloped right through without stopping. Powerful ending! Seamless insertion of quotes from the series. Nicely done!

This scene just makes me want to cry every time I watch it. And now I have a whole new headcanon of detail-shading and backstory-filling that makes it even worse! (You know what I mean. That was a compliment to you!)

Love the theory you have here of there being more to those slaps than we realise. I have to admit I was thrown by the M rating though as I had thought there might be some smut, but to be honest it wouldn't have really made any difference and I don't miss it in this instance. Great work! :)

I continue to be amazed at how you manage to get into Sherlock's head as effortlessly as into Molly's. Trying to deduce why he ended up in her arms, but not even considering that it might have been simply because he needed a cuddle. The idiot.
