Great story! It was so well written! I even felt embarrassed for him when he had to go to the bathroom! And that is a level of reality I don't always see in fics like this. No one really wants to include things like that bc its to real to think about. S great job!

Just re read this story for like, the 56th time. It is one of the most well written short stories on here, and never fails to please. I have a very contented grin on my face!

I can't begin to describe to you how much I love this story. Normally, I'm not such a big fan of stories involving Dick being kidnapped (I can't take the suspense) but this one was both amazingly well written and also not cliche. I'm really glad that I stumbled across this story, and I hope it gains the notoriety that it deserves.

This was the story that drew me into your account. The first story of yours I had read. It was phenomenal. I mean, after all the years, account or not, I can't believe I didn't find you sooner. I love the name: an allusion to Between A Rock and A Hard Place. I absolutely love that third chapter. Don't get me wrong, I love the torture and the hurt, but the third chapter... just- damn. I was torn. How Dick was so forgiving towards the man who kidnapped him... What. A. Ride.

This is seriously the best angst fic and I love the finish-especially Dick being understanding because his family was also killed and that just making Coulson feel so much worse. Rub the guilt in, Dick. Rub it in hard.

I've read many of your stories yet this is the first time I reviewed ... I'm a horrible person, aren't I? That was ... achingly sweet. Yet ... so depressing. It was strange, though, that Dick never questioned Bruce about him being late. I'd have thought it to be one aspect of his insecurity that ought to be addressed. Oh well, it was an excellent story regardless. I do hope that Bruce gets those kidnappers good and, even though the general moral of this fic is that human life is invaluable, gets his money back. I agree with Dick, 40 million is a dang lot. Later,
