I con't believe I forgot to say this: THANK YOU FOR POKING FUN AT THE ABUSE FICS OUT THERE!

I swear, they're almost ALL like your little formula, and sometimes it gets on my goddamn nerves. (Pardon my English.)

There is NO reason why Bakura would beat Ryou, and one very good reason why he would not: they share the SAME body. What good would it do Bakura to damage the body he needs to use? At one point, Bakura even SAVES his host from the wrath of Yami's god card for just this reason, claiming "I still need him" [*spoiler* to collect the Millennium Items and release Zorc *spoiler*]. (The ONLY times I know of Bakura inflicting physical damage to Ryou's body is 1) during the FIRST anime/manga series (well before Pegasus's Duelist Kingdom tournament) when he impales his hand on a miniature tower to keep Ryou from controlling it (and helping his friends), and 2) when he stabs himself in the arm during the Battle City Tournament-this is actually SHOWN in the manga, though I think it's just implied in the anime-and lets Ryou take the pain, and that is for the completely different purpose of convincing Malik that he is a heartless bastard and willing to get the Millennium Items by any means. Or something like that. I don't exactly remember his logic.)

My point: Why the heck would Bakura abuse HIMSELF on a regular basis? It would hinder him more than anything, and besides, only one of them can completely inhabit the body at a time. So not only are many of these "abuse" fics incorrect, they're downright impossible! And I think they ignore any real torment Ryou might actually have suffered with a malevolent spirit commandeering his body. I mean no disrespect to anyone who has actually experienced physical abuse, but I think that suddenly realizing I've missed the past four days of my life-AGAIN-would be fundamentally more traumatizing than a few bruised ribs.

Um...I didn't mean for that to turn into a rant, but it did. Feel free to pick apart and/or use my arguements, should you feel a need to.

This reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series, only with sex. ("Let's just skip school for the umpteenth time!" "You'd think they have kicked us out by now.")

Very well done! _ I'm ashamed to admit that I used to be one of those authors... actually, I have a story of that nature on my account. Thankfully, I'm past that particular stage in Bakura/Ryou fanfiction. That doesn't mean I won't read an abuse fic if it's good, and I'm certainly not going to take my crap story down. Anywho, I really liked this story. Awesome job.

OMFG, you totally made my night! I love you! This is the funniest effing story ever! All of your sarcastic jabs at all the characters were spot on. I love how they don't even notice Ryou's missing for several days, and then they're all concerned. Poor Ryou, he's so neglected. But you're right, I'm also totally sick of all those stories that make him out to be this pathetic, angsty, emo, suicidal little sop. Also, I'm sick of the stories where Bakura beats the shit out of him, and then Ryou's like, "Why do you hurt me?" [sob sob] and then Bakura's like, "I'm sorry, I don't know how to express emotions, really I love you" and then Ryou's like, "Really? I love you too!" and then they have sex. WTF? The crap people write. Honestly.

Wow, this turned into a flame of *other* people. Well anyway, you rock. Yes. You are so totally ninja. Woot. And other displays of admiration, cliché or otherwise.

A lot more lighter than your last story, this shows that you can do humour as well as sad, death fics! It may only be one-shot but it still had me laughing, the number of clichés in here is hysterical! It's just like every Ryou-is-beaten-up-by-Bakura-but-then-something-happens-and-Bakura-realises-his-mistake-begs-for-forgiveness-Ryou-accepts-and-everyone-lives-happily-ever-after (except-for-Téa-as-she's-always-the-evil-one). Sorry about the number of hypens, it was supposed to read like one long sentence.

Anyway, here's thanks for another great story and now it's time to rove through your profile once more in search of more reading material.
