i will agree with you there, that XII was the best of the PS2 generation Final Fantasy games.

and while FF7 is considered the best on PS1? my fav by far is FFIX. although dont get me wrong, i love 7, and despite what many people say, i am loving the FF7 Remake as well. honestly at this point i think people are bitching about the games just so they can have fun arguing about something.

the game is solid. a good mix of all the nostalgic elements the original fans want, and plenty of new material to draw in new fans as well.

that being said, i do think they fumbled a little on the side quest system they put in place. some of the filler content could be better, but most of it is very well done.

the naysayers are focussing on the negatives, and not looking at the positives. many of them also are new to the franchise, and thus dont have the nostalgia factor tinting their vision. this is both a plus AND a negative.

the point i am trying to make is, IGNORE THE REVIEWS! any review about FF7 Remake is going to be highly opinionated. and with the trolls out their trying to make our lives even more difficult for their own amusement? i don't trust ANY reviews on the internet right now that i did not write myself.

so if the game interests you and you have the funds? then buy it and play it. form your own opinion, do NOT listen to the online reviews.

my opinion is heavily jaded, i am a diehard fan of the original game, i have played it dozens of times over the years and never get tired of the game. as such i am biased. i KNOW i am biased. which is why i suggest others play the game and earn for themselves if they think it is a good game.

...and as usual i seem to have deviated into a rant.

i do apologize, it would seem the isolation is drawing some of my more annoying traits into greater prominence then normal.

so with that said i will end this review here.

FF XII was perhaps my second least favorite, with XIII taking the lead. FF VIII, and X are my favorite Final Fantasy games, X-2 I couldn't play much of what I had because it would lock up every so often. What the shitty devs should have done with it is have Paine say we shouldn't go here, and that causes Yuna to back away from the area. Anyways I love your Cycle of Sin story, wish you'd be able to get back to some of your older stories, like Wrath of Shuyin, Revenge of Marcus, etc.

I hope this Harry is from another world because I am intrigued in the pairing that you noted in the story.

Can you do some Naruto crossovers with Final Fantasy?

A very, very well written story! This fic is certainly one I have enjoyed so far, and its dynamics and characters are all very well-written with their dynamics with one another quite realistic. I'm also grateful that you've taken your time working out the relationship between Harry and Ashe as something not so spontaneous as other fic-writers are wont to do. The dialect and lore are also spot on! Just the dedication put into this has already earned it a favorite and a follow! I look forward to the next chapter.

This is good! The plot modifications are logical and fit with canon, and the romance is believably paced and formed on the structure of a long-developed friendship. I also like that you make the monster encounters visable, but not at the forefront. That ruined the immersion for me in FF12 (especially the random jungles-connecting-to-fields-connecting-to-tundra, and all the other random biomes), so I am SO glad you focus almost entirely on the plot itself. Thank you for sharing this enjoyable fic - I look forward to reading the rest of it!

I just thought of a potentially awesome scene for a Harry Potter/Final Fantasy crossover. It would be kind of awesome if Harry, after the climactic fight of a major battle in one of the games, had one or more of his companions on the verge of death. Without any other options, he's forced to snap his own wand and use its Fawke's feather core as a phoenix down or mega phoenix. Just seems like a cool scene for all the symbolic sacrifice involved. Of course, this assumes that the Harry in that story does not know any strong healing spells.

Kind of wish you'd written Vaan and Penelo out. Aside from their few connections in Dalmascus, they have almost no purpose in the plot. They aren't awful characters, but they are superfluous, especially with Harry there.

*And yet, I noticed when looking at the crossovers between Harry Potter and Final Fantasy XII that they were all slashfics, as far as I could tell. They may be to other people's liking, but I'm not one of those who like slashfics. Not to my taste. Therefore, I decided to remedy the situation. I decided to write a Final Fantasy XII crossover with Harry Potter that was NOT a slashfic. *

Finally! I have nothing against people who write slashfics (except for my own personal frustration when a story idea sounds awesome but is ruined for me by a heavy slash element), but it seems like some crossover groups are either nothing but slash or nothing but harem fics (both not my favorites). It's nice to see an author add some variety to those crossover groups. Haven't read this yet,but thanks for making the effort!

Glad to see this finally updated. Tonks being their presents an opportunity that they may be able to utilize the future. This is getting exciting I can't wait to see how the others interact with the group and their own opinions on the war, Occuriens. The one thing that really is entertaining though, is that Voldemort's followers dreamed of a world with only magic and now Harry and the people allied with him are experiencing a world like that... The death eaters are rolling in their graves.
