I love the passion and desire they have for one another. If the show had written it, they would have Marcus tell Rayna he saw the whole thing and then she would be mad at Deacon... So glad it was written by you!

holy crap, that was beyond hot. So wrong of Deacon to let Markus see that without Rayna's consent and yet it was so very, very hot and why have you only written one fic with those two. Devastating to look for more and finding only one fic but if it had to be a single fic I'm so happy you wrote this one.

Great story! I think you captured Deacon's voice perfectly, and I love how Markus cock-blocked them, lol. Definitely seems like something he would do, and I love how awkward Rayna was about it because she really would be.

The sex scene was written well (it was explicit but wasn't tacky or too graphic - you captured a good balance of everything, and it fit into the story well) and I do like how Markus was able to see it. I mean, a part of me feels bad for Rayna because I know she'd be mortified if she knew someone saw her like that (in her most private setting), but I think this definitely sent the message clearly to Markus whereas, as we saw in the show, Rayna's little speech didn't get it across as clear.

Seems to me that it would be really difficult to write a sex scene that treats the subject matter candidly and ends up feeling adult and sexy and personal to the characters you're writing about - kudos to you for doing that! Even though this was obviously explicit, I didn't feel like it was "smut" in the typical fanfic sense of being just a random sex scene that could almost be between anybody. That really was due to the fact that your writing from the outset was smooth and easy to read, and you set the whole thing up with dialogue that felt true to Rayna and Deacon. I'd love to see more writers coming up with stories for this pairing, so hope to see more from you!
