Yep, still crying. I loved Thane's flashback to their first meeting; it's a wonderful reminder of just how far their relationship has come over the course of this epic. Which makes their separation and his impending death that much more painful. You're killing me here! :)

You're not making me feel any better, damn it. :P EDI is just killing me. And I'm really, really dreading Shepard's goodbye with Thane. :*( I think I need a hug.

Well, thanks for reducing me to a sobbing mess. This whole chapter just HURT. Pardon me while I track down a whole damn box of tissues. XP

You know, Shepard could use the Beacon the asari are hiding to blackmail tevos... The vi Vigilance is the reason the asari have the Destiny Ascention... The reason they're at the top... It would work. The council would follow their judgment

This was an excellent chapter. I loved it. I really hope the voice she hears is John! And he kicks Jane out of the way to clear a path for some cannon drama. Gosh I love this story

Janes a bitch, she's blaming it all on Dawn when she's the one who pushed for change. Its annoying ... It's all their fault not just Dawn. I'm so triggered rn lol

Damn, dude. That line by Thane, “I know you intend to see me again before the sea calls me home...” just beautiful and heartbreaking.

OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT. Is Thane indoctrinated? That would be a stroke of devastating cruelty, for Dawn to come back only for Thane to be taken. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter! :D

OMG, I'm so glad it looks like James is going to be okay. Though I know you're not above pulling the rug out from under me, lol, so I'm only cautiously optimistic. ;)

SHIIIIITTTT. The mental image of Garrus tearing a guy's throat out with his bare hands is kind of terrifying.

Okay, so this whole chapter was terrifying. Who's attacking? There were humans and turians, as well as salarians, so I don't think it was the Dissension. And James! What's going to happen to Dawn if James dies? Seeing the "they" business at the beginning of the chapter was a little frightening. I guess I'll have to read on and see! :D

"We get the hell out of her way." -Smartest thing anyone's said all day, lol.

"you're not going to lose anyone else to this war" -Comforting words, but they sound like famous last ones... *bites fingernails*

You have a masterful knack for using joyful moments to ramp up tension. Now that Dawn is back, so far as she is, it feels like things are just now starting to kick into gear again for her. I'm so excited to see where this is going! :D

...pulling the feel of him deep into her ragged, torn soul. -Oh, my heart. This is so painful and beautiful. The whole scene is, really, but this line especially. :)

Oh, she's back! She's back! I loved the back-and-forth shifting between "she" and "they" throughout, and this really feels like a rebirth. Love truly does conquer all! :D

And it wasn't any easier from Garrus's POV either. Damn. I want to cry for all of them. Garrus, Thane, Dawn, and every other past Shepard locked inside her head.

And I forgot to mention this in the last chapter-Avalina! I love that you've brought her into this fic! She's a wonderful character; I loved her in TI, and she's a great addition here. :D
