I love it! I mean, it can't all be flowers and rainbows. Both Mulan and Shang grew up in a society that impose many rules over the behavior of both, men and women, and this can't be erase easily.

It's obvious at the end of the movie, that both have strong feelings for each other. Mulan is obviously attracted to Shang from the beginning, but slowly she also grows to respect him and look up to him. It's the same for Shang, though the attraction came last for him.

We also know that they can be a great team, they are unbeatable when they work together in harmony, and that both have many things in common (both are brave, strong, stubborn, intelligent, prideful, a bit childlike when the situation allows it; both like martial arts and physical training...) This can be the foundation for a great relationship, as think theirs will be, but we never saw it happen in the movie. (Let's not talk about Mulan 2, for my mental health I pretend I've never watched it).

I read a few fanfictions that follow the movie, but up until now I only like one of them. Most are poorly writing or too girlish, this is, too far away from the real world and the very real problems that Mulan and Shang will have to face as a (or to become a) successful couple. Yours, however, it's perfect. You get Shang character perfectly, the best I read until now. Your Mulan still requires some work, but we haven't seen much of her yet. the story it's from Shank, which it's perfect. He was always my crush, of all male characters in Disney Princesses movies.

Please, do keep writing. I can hardly wait for the next update!
