I was in fact hoping to take a momentary pause from the domestic bliss and I thought of Gwen, and here it is! it's like you've read my mind or something. this is what I've been longing to read. from what I've seen in the deleted scenes, it was glaringly obvious that she was privy to Anna's affection towards Bates. so reading this brings it to full circle and warmth.

Gwen's intense Bates and Anna shipping soothed my heart. I haven't seen this episode yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Good job :)

This little story put a huge smile on my face. I love the little observations, the little comparisons between before and now. I'm glad Gwen and Anna keep in touch, and it's lovely that Gwen is so happy for her friend and her husband. I especially love the changes she has noticed in Bates. This was so lovely! I was sorely disappointed by the length of the scene where Gwen was downstairs on the show but this was an excellent substitute! I like how you included Gwen having a crush on Anna's John (as its something I've suspected myself) and also both Johns bonding over their shared name. This was a delight to readthank you! x

Gwen! *hugs Gwen* I love the fact that this story is from Gwen's perspective. It was so darn nice to see her again and know that she has been successful in life. Funny how Gwen notices little things about Anna but didn't see Mrs Hughes and Mr Carson getting married :) Good for Gwen making sure Anna knows she and John were the worst kept secret ever! I totally agree that Anna and Gwen would have kept in touch all these years. They are such good friends. The description of the time when Anna got arrested and Mr Bates wrote Gwen in her stead was so well written. Well done you! Seeing Banna's love through Gwen's eyes was very refreshing and so beautiful. Gwen could do a masterclass in interpreting Banna, couldn't she? Gwen certainly got an eyeful of Anna and John's happy relationship. How thoughtful of her to back out and reenter the courtyard so she could say goodbye properly. Gwen's Baby Bates radar is working rather well ;) The social changes of the times must be so difficult for those people working their way through the layers of society. This was such a good piece and I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for posting!

This is so beautiful! Flows withbdialogues and descriptions that do not feel forced or out of place. Almost as if you were describing scenes instead of creating them. Amazing job!

I was almost shocked when Gwen appeared during that episode. I think they did not make it justice. You, on the other hand, did. Wonderfully so.
