This is interesting but I would like to read a version where Naruto wasn't wearing orange. Is this story being continued?

You information about Itachi is dead wrong. Itachi never participated in the Third Shinobi War. Let me remind you, that Itachi was four by the time the war ended. Itachi also worked under Kakashi in ANBU. Though, he did eventually become a captain. He's first mission was the Uchiha Massacre. So, he was only a ANBU captain for a brief period.

Wouldn't mind seeing this continue. The plot and writing are pretty interesting, it's pacing is nice and it feels like it has proper characters rather then just.

"Here's a girl Naruto... and a Sasuke... things happen and they are in love... yaaay..."

Yours has plot and as the title says, different circumstances. I would enjoy seeing this play out more and maybe seeing how other characters play with this new less trusting and more powerful Naruto.

As for criticisms, not enough stuff has happen to really have any yet; the start has been good so far and has shown what's knew and how are new Naruto is different. It is playing out rather well and feels natural that fits the world setting; can't help but say it feels smooth reading through it which is always nice when it is mostly going over stuff that people have seen more then once before.

Other then that I can't really think of anything else to say on it. Maybe think about how Naruto's journey through the land played out some more if you haven't already.

And of course thank you for taking your time to write something interesting and entertaining. I hope to see an update soon.

Meh, I think I'll stick to calling the female Naruto "Naruko". It sounds more feminine when you think about it and makes more sense than giving her a boy's name. Plus, Naruko sounds derived from Naruto, so she'd still be named after the main character of "The Tale Of The Utterly Gutsy Ninja".
