I first read "I wait for you" which i found great as well, but this.. this was like the perfect prequel. It was really nice to see Nathan's POV for a change and you portrayed his feelings so well, why he acts the way he does.
I got so lost in your story and that ending, jfc i'm in love..
Please don't stop writing, i beg you, please continue, i need more Caulscott in my life.

Ahaha, no seriously, I'm not joking. I am thoroughly impressed at how well you write Caulscott. I'm not just saying that. I've checked out other Caulscott fics and, well, they haven't given me the same impact as your story does. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I read this one shot twice before I sat down to write a review. I hope you're not creeped out by my appreciation of your writing. *scratches head sheepishly*

Anyway, this story is just as glorious as "I wait for you." I love both a lot, especially how in this one shot, things are a little more steamy (hell yes).

Yeah, Nathan was pretty much a butthole throughout the whole story, but I do understand his conflicting emotions. I like how both he and Max are just trying to figure out their feelings for each other. I can tell Max is really attempting to decipher whether or not her attraction to Nathan is simply because of his previous heroic acts and showings of kindness in the dark room. I like how the two of them are sort of fighting their feelings for each other; I love that I can sense the slight reluctance and the romantic/sexual tension between them.

I also absolutely LOVE the deja vu moments. The conflicting emotions of rage and guilt that Nathan encounters when he's with Max was a nice nod to the feelings he felt in the dark room. I like how he can't keep his anger intact for long, especially when she sounds hurt or close to tears.

And the part when he saved her from getting hit by the car really reminded me of his obscure, but good character; despite his protests, he really does care for Max. I thought that this was such a touching scene; even though Nathan didn't remember that he technically died for Max AND saved her twice, I could thoroughly understand the intense emotions Max felt upon seeing the guy that she truly cares about sacrifice himself.

Oh god, and the diner scene? Wow. I felt so bad for Nathan. He just wants someone to sincerely like him as a person and to see Max blatantly deny any intimate relation that happened between the two of them really made me feel sad for him. Is it bad that I got super angry at Chloe? I mean, she pretty much provoked him to beat her up (not that I'm saying that he should have, but still... that was cruel of her to just rip the photo like that; that was a little overboard). Just imagining Nathan getting restrained by a bunch of people and then Joyce (one of the few people who didn't outright hate him) giving him a disgusted look really pulled at my heart strings - not to mention the broken sob-like scream he let out. I'm so glad Max rewound the whole thing. I like how things turned out better afterwards; it just goes to show that Nathan can be a good person if given the chance. The sweet, genuine smiles Max gave him and her slight caress of his wrist was super sweet. Gahh! And Nathan's smile at the end of the scene! I wish we saw him smile more in the game.

Ahhh, yes. The last part of this story was pure, smexy, Caulscott gold. I like how you described Nathan's thoughts on the whole ordeal of the photograph and the supposed prank. He's so used to everyone hating him that he can't even fathom the idea of a person actually sincerely liking him. I love how Max immediately understands him though; she can tell that he's afraid of getting hurt and opening up to someone.

Nathan's "I'm sorry" was such an emotionally evoking reminder of his apology in the last one shot. And then the freakin' HOT kiss they shared! Max's confession! The sweet and loving hug! The desperation and surge of emotion that they felt for each other! Hell yeah, hell yeah, HELL YEAHHH. Too bad they didn't do the deed all the way, but then again, I thought it was sweet of Nathan to worry over Max's well-being rather than his own needs. And anyway, the cuddling at the end was extremely adorable. Ugh, I love them so much.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I like how you included Nathan's tendency to fidget and twitch a lot, especially when he's nervous. Oh, and also Max's habit of biting her lip.

Whoops, I wrote an essay again. Well, I usually write long reviews for stories that I love with a burning passion, so yeah. Ahaha. Thank you so much for contributing to this underrated ship! I hope you write more Caulscott because I will most definitely support whatever you write!

Super cute story. It was extremely good written and described and I loved the Deja vu- elements of your first story. Off course Chloe would never accept this love. I did fear this moment of escalation but it ended well. Please continue to write Lis fanfiction. You are a great writer.

Ughhhhhhh that was so, so good! I freaked though when the picture was mentioned xD I knew how badly things would go as soon as it came up. But anyway, yes, this was so sweet! It is a nice feeling for LiS fics to have actual happy endings rather than bittersweet or flat out depressing!
