Skadarken chapter 4 . 6/1 Absolutely fucking B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L |
Omnicat chapter 4 . 5/10/2017 *wolf whistle* It's so nice when a truckload of UST gets resolved. :D |
archangelBBQ chapter 4 . 9/16/2015 FABULOUS how do you do it? I am in love with your writing! It is just so perfectly balanced and the romance between them is just right. So very lovely. Thank you for sharing this with us all so I could read it tonight! |
archangelBBQ chapter 3 . 9/16/2015 I never particularly liked Kanami in the anime, to be honest, but I love the way you've written her as Misaki's best friend and confidant. Really superb! |
archangelBBQ chapter 2 . 9/16/2015 Be still my palpitating heart ... Misaki and Hei together like this is just too perfect for words! Love love love it! |
archangelBBQ chapter 1 . 9/16/2015 (ack) So I know I'm reading these backwards but ugh I just can't resist! I promise I'll read Distractions next ;) I love the way you write Misaki and Hei, together and separately. Their actions seem so natural and in character. I wish your fanfics were the continuation of the series! You capture the tone of the series and the characters so perfectly! |
SI chapter 1 . 8/9/2015 Thank you for continued efforts in producing fics in this universe. They are truly awesome :) |
Dear4Life chapter 4 . 8/2/2015 'Maybe I didn't want you to think that I had a girlfriend.' AH! Adorable. Love. I loved the whole chapter. How when alone Misaki worries about what may happen since they live two different lives, but it all seems to go away when she's with him. Love'em! Let's keep the lights on... :) |
loremipsxm chapter 4 . 8/1/2015 I really like how this manages to give a good general feel for how "normal" nights are for the two of them, which is something the previous shorts somewhat lacked, given how they generally involved Hei and Misaki accomplishing some sort of objective. This is much more lax, in a way I enjoyed- they talk like normal people! About mystery novels! And Misaki's reasons for joining the force! And her professional concerns! The domesticity juxtaposed against Misaki's lingering knowledge that Hei just killed a man, that he's literally sitting there garbed as the Reaper... it's nicely done. Also, I have to say that it was really nice to hear Hei apologize for being snappish with Misaki. Misaki could very well have just accepted that Hei would be like that, and Hei could have just seethed at the fact that she brought up a sore spot and fallen into the easy role of not having to be “nice." But instead it was really gratifying to see him own up to the fact that it was unfair of him to take his insecurities out on Misaki. It's starting this "not-relationship" out on a good foot. |
paprikaflakes chapter 4 . 8/1/2015 Its good to know that Misaki has the same problem with mystery novels that I do :) I love these quiet moments between Misaki and Hei- just sitting together and talking about themselves. The undressing scene . . . for both of them was wonderful. XD- Misaki has her version of the bra problem. And where Hei notices automatically that what she was wearing was something new. "Only if we keep the lights on." 0_0 |
paprikaflakes chapter 3 . 8/1/2015 This was a fun little girls night out vignette. I think that every Misaki needs a Kanami (and that every Kanami needs a Misaki.) Again with the tiny little details- like the number of shopping bags each woman is carrying. I really adore how insightful Kanami is through all of this-it speaks so much to the depth of their friendship. And XD, let's go look at lingerie I have a theory I want to test. I have to agree with Kanami that Misaki would be a good last stop in the relationship test department. And ooh she stays so analytical through all of this too, knowing that this relationship is going to end and trying to enjoy it for as long as she can. |
J Luc Pitard chapter 4 . 8/1/2015 "I mean, she's a friend, but not... you know... a girlfriend... just a girl that may have to kill me..." Probably better that she thinks you're a pervert. Speaking of perverse, I love how you let them cuddle and chat. He's stuck in that nebulous ground of not being a human and not being a contractor, so getting those moments must be as precious as finding someone to have sex with. But both in the same night? Priceless. Yes, he just killed someone hours before coming to her bed, so that's a bit... squicky, but she seems to be okay with that and how many other people would be? Another contractor would be, but then there wouldn't be those cuddle moments, not really. Nicely illustrated in this chapter. |
lolgirl607 chapter 4 . 7/31/2015 unf another great chapter! I really liked how when she was talking about the hotel, she rattled off "BK-201" just as she would have if she was telling it anyone else. idk, i really liked that detail, shows a lot about how they view each other and how they handle "shop talk." of course i really just love how you write their interactions in general. it always feels so true to canon, fanastic! can't wait for more! |
Dear4Life chapter 3 . 7/31/2015 Best friends know when something's going on, even if others can't see it. Especially Kanami with Misaki. She's so distracted. Misaki is trying to tell herself it's casual, but deep down it seemed she was hoping for it to be a little more serious. She'll just have to take it an Hour at a Time. |
J Luc Pitard chapter 3 . 7/31/2015 Love her buying practical, though slightly more sexy underwear. Risking TMI, my partner and I don't find lingerie a turn on, but if it makes the person wearing it _feel_ sexy, it's worth the expense. If not, buy it in bulk from Hanes or what have you. Misaki and Kanami get to bond over time spent together and secrets shared and that's worth more than getting underwear to raise a contractor's eyebrows. Looking forward to more of the old favorite stories and some new stuff, along the way. |
