I really love this somewhat dark, but very powerful MerlinEmrys. Seeing him use his power to the full potential was always my favorite, and this captures the fine balance between soft-hearted Merlin and Magic itself, dangerous Emrys.

This was actually quite interesting. I liked it. :)

This fan fiction was different from the other fan fictions I've read of Merlin because it was from the point of view Merlin as Emrys. It was interesting to see him and Arthur interact when Merlin is like this. They still joked with each other a little bit but as Emrys Merlin is just so wise and powerful.

i love this fic; but ever scince i've read it i keep wondering how the whole story would be like. so you should really consider writing it, it's a unique idea and i would love to see how you imagined this world to be.

You did a great job with this. You give the feel and general situation of their world while still leaving parts open to the imagination. That can be very difficult to do in a short story. Thanks for posting!

wow. i love the twists and complications, so casually understated in this single conversation. the war, arthur's place in it, his unease with an incomprehensible ally - i find myself wishing this was a scene in a much larger fic!

Vague background with skimming details giving you a brush of what's going on, but the
Main focus being on the confession of their friendship... Beautiful. Tiny quirks of humor lighting up amused smiles, but it was the fluff that is admittedly the obvious best ;) loved how despite it not being exactly bamf Merlin, he still had damn pretty awesome powers shown, and Arthur knowing? Wow. So yes, it could be a modern rewrite of the story, or a resurrection style.. (I have to admit, I thought Merlin was gonna admit something of his past life or something when instead he confessed himself as a friend) it's still awesome with its hint of darkness in the background but the fluff lighting up the whole scene. Loved it bits!

I have read many fanfics but few like this...i would put it right up there at the top with a couple of others. It would be nice if there was more!

Chocolate. And the trench. And the bromance. Oh my... The atmosphere of magic and mystery that surrounds this makes it really irresistible reading.

Very different and I must say I liked it. Love the magical and almost dark Merlin. Certainly has come into his full powers here. As for the chocolate - priceless.
