Reviews for The Lion's Pride
stevem1 chapter 1 . 8/31
This is thought provoking. The Scrimgeour scene in canon always felt strange to me in canon also. Why wouldn’t he support a ministry fighting Voldemort?
MagusMaximus chapter 1 . 3/17
I love this. Good job.
DarkBalance chapter 1 . 1/24
This piece was super incredible. There were mistakes on both sides of this conversion, but at the end of the day, Harry was ridiculously childish, even if he felt empowered and righteous at the time. The new perspective on this conversation was greatly appreciated.

Dante 101 chapter 1 . 5/29/2019
Honestly, this brought a whole new perspective to the conversation between Harry and Rufus. One that could have been made clear with Proper Communication Skills.
That2-one3-girl4 chapter 1 . 4/21/2019
What happened to the "I must not tell likes" ?
TRAtheist chapter 1 . 10/6/2018
You just made Scrimgeour even worse than he is in canon. Purposely holding somebody in jail or prison KNOWING that they've not commited a crime is pure fucking evil.
GeorgeTobor chapter 1 . 7/17/2018
Dumbledore brainwashed, conditioned, and just plain abused and used Harry.

The Ministry on the other hand never apologized for anything.

The best stories SLAUGHTER the wacky witless wizarding world.

WIZARDS FALL is on this site and one of my favorite fics.
kaftan chapter 1 . 6/6/2018
Yeah I felt a bit sorry for Scrimgeour too...
Harry is naive and stubborn, true. but... doesn’t he have every right to distrust a misnister? Scrimgeour is not Fudge but he is a misnister after all and he hasn’t given Harry any reason to think differently(like he’s a person Harry knows already or done something trustworthy) or even saying something persuasive. Hell he’s clearly trying to use Harry for ministry PR and that would be a risky game at most.
So altho I feel pity for Harry’s blind faith in Dumbles... S really didn’t do enough to gain H’s trust at all is what I’m saying.
Ryoji Mochizuki chapter 1 . 5/1/2018
huh. interesting.
DannyBoy2k chapter 1 . 12/17/2017
Oh, no. No, you are making every last bit up. As proven by one small sentence. "Must be seen to be doing something", no matter if there is proof or not. That simple sentence invalidates your entire premise.
kalypsowolfe chapter 1 . 11/12/2017
Very intriguing. It's pretty cool seeing/reading a scene from the opposite perspective and of course, Rufus gets a little more sympathy.
Guest chapter 1 . 3/10/2017
Yeah, I thought that Harry never really gave Scrimgour a chance.
Kittenn1011 chapter 1 . 3/4/2017
For the most part, I find this to be an interesting perspective. There is a pretty glaring flaw at its heart, though: if Scrimgeour was thinking all these things, why not say them? Why just cut yourself off and think "I hope you got help with that?" rather than actually, out loud, offering sympathies. Stripped of both Rowlings' context and yours, I do think both characters are at least partially in the wrong, but a lot of the thoughts you give Rufus here don't actually mesh well-enough with what he actually says to sound real to me. *shrugs*
mobulis chapter 1 . 2/17/2017
Its not just the govt, harry can count on one hand the number of adults who actually seem to care about him and want to help him
