I'm just going to say this outright. This was excellently written. Not only do I love your choice of words, but your writing style is amazing! Although, perhaps I'm saying that because it's so similar to my own, and I've always liked stories written with this sort of feel. Continuing on, I love the depth you put in Alex’s character, something that is really hard to pull off, since a lot of people, when writing fanfiction, often fall a bit far off when it comes to displaying the depths and emotions of their characters. Anyway, loved this!

WOw! I didn't expect a continuation for the first one-shot! I guess it's a "two-shot" now though. This is really well-written. There were a few small mistakes w your spelling, but nothing too outlandish. I adore your writing style and characterization though. You gave Alex so many different layers. It's really nice :) A tip for the final proofreading of a piece: read it out loud. I may seem awkward, but trust me, it really works! I've caught so many small grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes by reading my pieces out loud. Keep up the great work, and update soon? I'm looking forward to a third chapter, if you decide to write one. :)
