Hi! I know it's been a while since you've updated, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy this story. I really hope you come back to it sometime 3

How is calling him Prongslet NOT making him like a replacement goldfish? They couldn't even come up with a unique nickname for him. On top of which, Harry's personality is nothing like James Potter (even considering all James good points). They are completely different people, Harry has none of the arrogance, or outgoing nature James did. Worst of all, just assuming they'd have the same animagus form is stupid, because it's not like they run in families. It's based on personality traits and inner qualities. Harry's his own person, he's not James' carbon copy, and it's BORING to just assign him as Prong 2.0, which is basically what this does.

Oh and the bike! And Harry riding on it with him like James did. I loved that. And Harry waiting nervously all day for Sirius and Sirius getting ready nervously all day for Harry - it was all absolutely perfect and heartwarming.

I adore this story and your writing! You are such a great writer and evoke the detail and world of the scenes and characters and emotions so well. One little thing that gets a bit distracting is when you add flowery descriptions of people that aren't really necessary like "the green eyed wizard" instead of just writing Harry for example. I don't think I'd notice if you only did a few but you do that a lot to the point it's jarring in sentences that are otherwise so gorgeously perfect. Really you are such a fantastic writer. I've read this kind of scenario loads of times but yours feels really fresh and original and so perfectly them. I also love how you've involved Remus without over involving him and making him immediately James level of importance to Sirius - he's still Remus. The marauder thing was so sweet. And your descriptions of Harry and Sirius' emotions and thoughts and stuff. They're all perfect. And the house and the quidditch pitch and Harry's room. I really hope you continue this story someday, or write more Harry and Sirius, or Harry Potter fic sometime as you really are brilliant at it.

I just noticed something while I re-read the 5th chapter. How are Sirius and Harry able to apparate from Harry's room? Won't there be anti-apparation wards in their house?

Your Sirius and Harry are almost canon, even Remus actually. Sirius is exactly the way I imagine him as, not the overtly strict guardian some people make him out to be, or leaving all the Important stuff to Remus. And Harry! Harry's reactions are spot on canon! The abuse is described impeccably. On top of all that, it's funny too. Please update soon, it may just help me survive longer.

I love that your Sirius is a fantastic blend of responsible adult and delinquent teenager. He's the perfect balance of being the caring/doting guardian to an abused boy without being too schmoopsy and coddling but also not being too chill and blasé about things. I also like how you have him being so careful - he's not raging everywhere like he is in some stories, because he's observant and he knows exactly how that would affect Harry negatively, and he also controls himself around the Dursleys but isn't about to forget about it and take it lying down what they've done to his godson. You've also done a brilliant job of showing the negative effects that 13 years with the Dursleys has had on him - he is very believable and neither too cowering nor too confident in his new settings. In fact you handle the whole abuse and neglect topic with much tact (in how it's worked into the story for the boys to deal with). Remus is a character I've never been too engaged with - I don't have anything against him, I've just never felt that engaged by his character, and usually I would prefer it to be just Sirius and Harry and no Remus, sadly. Your Remus is wonderful. He's good amounts stern, responsible one, but you can also actually see his playful Marauder side. I really like him. :)

Sirius is my favourite character in the series, hands down. The "father/son" relationship he has with Harry is probably my favourite aspect of the stories. Actually. This exact kind of fic, the hurt/comfort, 'Harry starts living with Sirius and Sirius has to start repairing years of damage from horrible living conditions', is my absolute favourite, and I've written some really good ones, and some not as good ones, that just don't give me exactly what I'm craving. Your story does not leave me wanting. I hope you're planning on continuing it. :)

I love this story so far, but I do have to say. I hate Dumbles with a passion and don't understand why Sirius is letting that old goat have any is not his business where Harry lives as he is just his headmaster of a school. The old geezer condones child abuse and deserve as bad a punishment as the Dursleys and I don't mean your prank.

Those blood wards never really did their job, or Dobby couldn't have gotten past them,Harry would never have been able to be treated like the Dursleys did him, He would never have almost died a few times a year at Hogwarts, The Toad wouldn't have been able to torture him, nor Voldy for that matter. Those wards were laughable.

Plus the fact Harry's sacrifice saved his friends from being hurt by Voldy after the second killing curse and they weren't even blood related. Plus Harry only spent two weeks there after Sirius died before being moved, so even if they worked a month was not necessary. No the old man just wants to manipulate them again. Merlin I hate that man as much if not more than Voldy. He probably cost as many lives as the dark Lord did.
