The Master is of a race that predates everything.

I think in Star Wars they could be represented by the "Celestials" only difference the Gallifreyans never ascended though the Timelords have this nifty "trick" by "half ascending" but instead of truly ascending they simply reformat a new body for themselves.

Palpatine really don't know just how outclassed he and his empire would be against just one of these...

Palpy, old son, you should hae listened to The Master. He's about as reliable and trustworthy as you are (as well as beng so crazy that he makes Maul look sane) but he almost never lies.

SAD BUT TRUE

This is an interesting meeting. I particularly liked Sidious' feelings about discovering that his sanctum had been invaded, the description of how the Master appeared in the Force and the Master's reaction to being attacked. Sidious' reaction to getting his doom prophesied was great too.

Sidious, you SHOULD have listened to The Master! He may be disgusting, but this one time, he was speaking the truth! Indeed, within a generation, the Empire would be gone, replaced by a new republic. You SHOULD have taken the offer Sidious!
