I'm glad you wrote the epilog, it completes the story beautifully. I loved the King and Queen's reaction when their daughters told them about Hans and how they let them marry out of love instead of forcing them into arranged marriages. But I loved the whole fanfic. :)

Ah, the first mention of Kristoff! I kind of always wondered what he was up to during all those years. Learning the trade of ice harvesting, no doubt. :)

I can imagine that Elsa would react that way after a talk like that. I mean, that's a difficult conversation to have with any child, but even more so with a child who has snow and ice magic.

Well, at least the king came to his senses and admitted that his way wasn't working. Hopefully, this new way will continue to help Elsa control her magic.

The queen is right; the "conceal, don't feel" method isn't working. That was the wrong way to go. They shouldn't have told Elsa to hide her magic, but rather embrace and accept it as a part of her, and they should have done the same; accepting and loving her for who she is, rather than fearing her for what she can do. That's a big reason why she was still unable to control it when she became queen. She was taught to fear it rather than accept it.

Glad that my story served as an inspiration. Although we took different paths based on the parent who would take the lead, the thing common between our stories is that we both used Elsa pulling away from her parents at 12 as the critical moment that "Conceal, don't feel, don't let it show" was shown to be a failing policy. (oh, and a horse ride to "re-introduce" the Crown Princess to Arendelle.) the moment a child is fearful around their parents (either fearful for them, fearful of them, or fearful despite their presence) is the moment some hard thinking and decision making has to be made.

Well, the problem of Hans got settled quite quickly, coming off as a close-minded prince rather than a murderous sociopath. I got the pleasant image of a tennis ball being swatted vigorously between the princesses, but then again that probably was pre-determined by the little game between the girls, Rapunzel, and Eugene from the previous chapter.

Thanks for the Fanservice! I did not as much ask for it as much as wondered about it, and I am glad that the two princesses got who they wanted (and both guys were adorably bashful and surprised.) It is interesting that, for a brief time, the worry of Agdar and Idun mirrored that of Prince Kit's father in the Live action "Cinderella" (being a small kingdom needing a political alliance with a militarily strong power) and Kit's proposal that "we have everything in our kingdom that we need" helped convince the dying king that his son had become "his own man". Its the sort of benediction that I'm waiting for the right moment to give to my boys. Arendelle indeed had everything they truly needed.

Princess Urraca of Espana is still in the future, along with a certain war between two of Arendelle's neighbors...interesting to think about how that will work itself out in this AU, hmm?

Again, I hate it that they kept Elsa away from Anna. A young girl Anna's age needs someone to play with. She doesn't deserve to be alone.

Lolz! Loved Idun's adaptation of Galadriel's response when offered the Ring of Doom by Frodo! And I was wondering when she'd connect love to thawing her ice, but she finally got it (needs practice, but she's got the discipline and determination to follow through).

Good thing Elsa was quick on the uptake on the implications of being able to freeze that much ice and following through!

And no, the sailors won't wait to get back to Arendelle to talk about this: they'll be hitting the pubs in Corona and blabbing about it within an hour of getting to shore.

And yes, freezing the sea is one thing, but unfreezing hearts is quite another.
