I was curious about this story after you mentioned it in FMW, since I'd wondered what it had been like after Lloyd found out. That was tough. I'm guessing that's still how it went for FMW, even though Saturniidae ended up going AU?

This was a pretty sad story, but it was realistic. After everything they'd been through, the cracks just got a little too wide. After reading this, I'm more impressed that they managed to stick together in the show. Jay and Cole's relationship was definitely my least favorite thing about seasons 3 and 4, because seriously. They're best friends! It was a dumb fight to begin with, and they couldn't work it out sooner? I'm glad you explored the reality of it. That ending was especially sad, but I'm glad they were all still friends.

You know, between this death and the actual death of the Ultra Dragon at the hands of the Dragon hunters, I actually prefer this one. Yeah, he basically tore himself apart, but at least he wasn't eaten and his bones used as a throne.

Minus the epilogue, this story has to be one of the saddest I've ever read. It's lovely writing, but there's something so sad about this.

I just found this story and read it all over the past few days. All I can say is WOW! You are such a talented writer, I loved how you described the characters and how they've changed with such great insight. This story was so well-written, interesting and poignant. I loved every chapter.
