I've never cried reading a fanfiction. Never. I had fat tears rolling down my cheeks reading this chapter, I had to take a break half way through to gross cry. I don't even know what to say, this is so good. It takes a lot of talent to make people feel so much emotion.

Okay, I know I'm gonna sound like a broken record when I repeat how awesome your fics are, but they are flipping awesome! I really enjoyed Tender Promise, but I have to say Tender Will has your other ones beat - in my eyes at least. I really was a fan of how you handled Alice's personality in this fic and especially Uncas'. In most other fics, Alice is usually protrade far more awkward and cowardly than I think she actually is. I have always seen Alice as having a quiet, yet resolute strength. So I really loved how unflinching Alice was when she finally realized she loved Uncas. I also loved how well you made Alice adapt to the frontier life. Alice isn't useless. And she certainly isn't weak. I deem her as being by far one of the strongest.

By the way, I am so making an Alice aesthetic based on this fic. She is just too good in this fic for me not to.

I'm finally getting to read your stories, and though I'm only in chapter 2 I just have to say I love the way you describe Uncas's voice and the way you write in general. I'm a detail oriented writer too, and he really does have a wonderful voiceyou just want to listen to him talk for days! While I am a (rare) die hard Nathaniel/Cora person, I love Uncas and Alice too, and I always hated that they didn't get a fair chance. It is always wonderful to read all these fics where they get a chance at love too.

Just wanted the review hat trick! ;-) Enjoyed this one very much as well. I just re-watched the movie and went looking for a better ending for Alice and Uncas and you've provided many. Your writing is so satisfying. Happy sigh!

I read this wonderful story before. I am rereading today. All I can say is the first 6 chapters took my breath away. Beautifully written.

So this is about the 10th time I am reading your wonderful story! Just wanted to mention how I love Uncas's reaction to Alice's most recent comment about Huyana: his slight frustration, finally putting it to Alice, "what she doesn't know is whether you want me as badly as I want you." And oh, how I would LOVE to hear Uncas (i.e. Eric) recite poetry in that amazingly deep, melodious voice of his; that was a brilliant touch to have Chingachcook be a sonnet fan! It somehow is not not surprising! Well done!
