This was definitely worth the wait. I like how a nice quiet night shared between the two of them was where a lot of things were said, while there was plenty left unsaid. I'd actually like to see this in a sort of series; a progression of conversations between these two with the occasional stops, starts, and stumbles. You could really pull that off, you know. :)

This is absolutely lovely, delicious in its details (caramel strands curling from John's mouth, yes!) and searingly true in its emotions. I love the sleepy kiss at the end, so powerful. Great job!

I loved all of this! There's nothing better than John and Joss hanging out and doing normal stuff. Just talking, having a beer and learning some more about each other. I really enjoyed all the stories they shared and how they "raised the bar" for next time. This was so good!

This was exactly what I wanted, and it was so worth the wait. I always wanted a moment in time for them, one where they just talked and spent time together, simply because we didn't get it on the show. From the moment Reese called her in Liberty and expressed how he missed sitting down and talking with her I had a mighty need for a moment like this. And I am very happy with it.

I loved the use of language, the imagery. I could see the laugh lines by his eyes when he smiled, see her looking at the line in his nose, watch her rub her scar awkwardly and him touching her hand. I love that there was a stirring of emotion that each of them acknowledged silently. I love that something was simmering between them but both of them showed restrained in pushing it further. That's exactly how it was on the show. And I have been in my Careese feels entirely too much today, but this story just made me cry, man. It just made me miss them all the more.

I love that she asked him why he came and I love the fact that he just wanted to be with her. For him it was always that simple. He never could stay away from her and I feel like you captured he he felt at home around her.

I literally said Yes! out loud when I saw what DVD he brought over. I mean my favourite movie too? How much more perfect does John Reese want to get? He is such a romantic and I could definitely see him wanting to share that with her.

And then the two of them falling asleep next to each other, him kissing her softly goodnight? I was done. I've read this twice already. I feel like I wanna cry again. Thanks so much for this. It was late, but it was a great V'Day and B'day gift for me.
