Excellent, wonderful and very original Careese for Valentine's Day. You are perfectly traced the evolution of the wonderful love story of our Prefer couple. I loved the countdown of their delicate relationship until Valentine's Day. John is a true romantic and made this day a real fireworks. Joss had the most beautiful declaration of love. I love them

Oh man. I just loved this.

Loved Carter's thoughts. How she'd been ready to let him in that night but after the shooting, all the doubts and fears had time to creep back in. How she was scared to love someone who could be taken from her so easily due to his self-imposed duty.

"He gave her life." Gah!

Loved how you described them stealing glances, the tension building.

Their dancing was so sweet and I loved that moment in the alcove. I couldn't believe that woman had the strength not to kiss that man, though. I was like, who is this alien woman with this strange Reese-Be-Gone sprayed on her? He'd have had my behind...*clears throat* Sorry. LOL

Anyway, I loved how we found out at the end that he'd found her journal entry and that explained his making the first, very confident move by asking her out and trying to plant one on her. "I love him." "I'm scared to lose him." I mean, just rip my heart out. "You're missing a key piece of information...he loves me too." I lay there slain after I read that. Slain.

What a kiss, though. Mmm. And "I'm great at other things too that you'll be adding eventually." He's such a cocky bastard. I love it, though.

Man, this was so very good. The tenderness, the respect, the simmering love. I loved that it started out with them doing something as mundane as cleaning. I love that John wasn't immediately great at dancing. I love the little things you infused this fic with. And Joss certainly does love him if she let him get her hair wet. I hope he went home and helped her comb it. But this was lovely. What a great fic.
