Oh, this story is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! I seriously loved every word!

I like how natural you made the crossover between the Hobbit and Sherlock verses. You wrote it like it is, didn't get into any long explanations, and you totally owned it. I love the idea of John being Bilbo reincarnated and also being a descendant of hobbits who told J.R.R. Tolkien about their heritage and heritage. Speaking of, does John go to New Zealand every year when he changes into a hobbit? Because according to Tolkien, hobbits still exist, but do a great job of hiding themselves. Either way, I bet John REALLY hates his ancestors now!

And Sherlock being Smaug incarnated is also perfect for this story. I do like that Sherlock recognized his past and made the effort to redeem himself. Also, it's hilarious that both hobbits and dragons love cheese wiz. :)

And with Moriarty and Lestrade having entered the picture... I wonder if they, too are characters reincarnated from the Middle Earth verse. I can totally see Moriarty being Gollum reincarnated, but with great fashion sense; and Lestrade being Lord Elrond reincarnated because they're both diplomatic and try to be civil and levelheaded under the craziest of circumstances... and Moriarty's "I see a dragon/you're down a dragon" was just brilliant!

I can't wait to see John step back into Bilbo's shoes and rescue Sherlock - who was formerly Smaug. Also, it was very beautiful how Sherlock reflected on how once they were enemies, but are now friends who actually saved each other. That's actually been my favorite part of this story so far. And... will we see a reincarnated Thorin come back? That would be great too!

This story has zero logic to it, but I'll forgive it, seeing as the concept is fun in itself.

"Somebody is taking a train to sleepytime junction. Somebody is so tried, he can barley function. And that's why he's hopping on that train to sleepytime junction. ALL ABOARD cries the engineer, sleepytime junction is so near(1:20 AM)
