I'm slightly surprised Conan didn't simply give Heiji a /look/ and remind him of his own situation with being shrunk and all, as to why he'd be willing to consider the possibility. He could probably find a way to point it out rather blatantly to Heiji without being too obvious to the other two, but if Hakuba already suspects then it might have been an issue anyway...

(Something simple like a raised eyebrow, looking down at himself with a sweeping gesture, and pointedly at Heiji while commenting dryly "I'm /eight/, /Heiji-niisan/." would do well.)

I had /just/ been thinking that poor Shinichi is the only one who gets along fairly well with all of them, and will end up having to play go-between or mediator all the time now.
One advantage to being physically eight would certainly be that they can only take advantage of that so much before Conan can sic Ran on them. XD
Unfortunately, the "becoming Seiryuu" thing is probably making the Apotoxin mess harder or more unhealthy. If Haibara is also bequeathed with something nominally divine (but probably rather different, and possibly foreign) then the entire reason the Apotoxin didn't kill either of them and only them can be blamed on literal divine intervention, if the author wishes. Which makes fixing it both harder and possibly easier, depending on if they find a supernatural solution or if the Divinity thing /requires/ them to be their relative physical ages (As KID pointed out, Conan's predecessor has been dead for ten years- so in a way, Shinichi couldn't possibly have been Seiryuu before being shrunk unless the elder can give it up for a younger to be born, or someone can be "earmarked" for future Divine-transference once the previous has died if they are born before the older gives in and dies already).
