Loved this story! I loved The West Wing characters popping up. As for the tubes tying it’s actually easier to do it then. The uterus is still enlarged and so you just have to make one small incision at the belly button. The tubes are right there, and easier to remove as opposed to doing the procedure laparoscopically. Hospitals typically wait up to 48 hours to perform the procedure on the off chance something may be wrong with the new baby. If the new baby were to perish for whatever reason they try to give the mother the option of being able to have another later down the road.

As soon as you described Jenny's colleague as having "long, fascinatingly straight blond hair" my mind jumped to Ainsley Hayes, and then it actually was Ainsley Hayes. The references to Lionel Tribbey totally made my day too. That's really why I'm leaving this review, but I also thought the actual story was really cute.

Yes, it's not uncommon to have your tubes tied when you have a baby since you're already in the hospital. Because with how fertile Jenny is they could have ended up with Irish twins - two babies born within 12 months of each other - like Ziva did in your story if they aren't careful with the birth control. So it was a little Jackson - after Jackson died I was thinking it would be either Jackson or Jackie.

I liked that they had a boy and named him after Jackson Gibbs and Tobias.
Not sure I could have seen the little guy as a Jasper.

a boy! Even if this is an AU story it's still so sweet that Gibbs named his son after Tobias. And sweet and sad to think that they might be passing down Jackson now instead of Leroy Jethro. Great writing as usual though! Can't wait to read more fics with little Jack in them.

Hi, I never gave a thought to death happening for Jack when I read the title! It seems kinda obvious now.
