I really wish you'd continue with this, because you absolutely hit the nail on the head with Shane's character. Very true to who he was in the show, and yet still redeemable. It's hard to find decent Shane stories, because he's definitely not a fan favorite, but what you've done here is great.

Would you ever consider making a Shane/OC fic? I love your Shane, he's hot af. And there isnt a whole lotta of them, and that makes me sad. I actually like Shane, I just wish he didnt get stuck on Lori, he would've been a good ally imo.

I really fucking enjoyed this. Stories with Shane are so rare, and ones so well-written are even fewer. I like the characterization of Shane fighting against his demons and trying to hide them from Melanie. I really like how you painted Melanie as his savior, I'm not sure if that's the right word...but I love how you drew her to open his eyes and lead him through self-healing and self-realization instead of forcing him to open up. Please tell me there's more :)

My dear, dear Roxy Rosee! This was SO much more than I could have ever asked for and I tried to keep scrolling. I love how well you get into his head. "Back when he was young. Back before all the expectations..." The end of the world and Lori getting into his head making him a person even he wasn't fond of. Thinking he deserved the pain...the hell he was in. When she asked if she could trust him and he said "you can't". Love it. When she said, "Hurt me." I was so cheering her on in my head. Now that's a woman that Shane really needs to be with not a tramp like Lori. Mel saying, "You can't break me." I want to know so much more. What's her back story? Where do they go from here? Do they stay in that house? Do they move on? Do they ever run into Rick and/or Lori again? DRAMA.
I know I already said this but you really got into his head and as much as I couldn't stand him in season two I'm almost seeing him from a different light now. Giving her every opportunity to stop but when she only stared at him he gave in. Only giving but not taking until the end. Shit. Great smut, darling. "Think you fucked the crazy right out of me." This was hot! Love the new angle you worked here with Shane not dying. I wonder why I've never thought of it before, but it's good. I never cared much for Shane but you make me like him in this and your other story Doctor's Orders. I love that story by the way. The smut was really great in this as well.
