His reason for writing the letters, to keep himself in the mind of at least one person on this earth. -And the one he loved most. Beautiful reminiscence piece. Thank you.

So I read this the other night when you told me about it, but I wanted to make sure that I had time to review properly, so forgive my tardiness. The whole story was wonderful, but I'll tell you my fav parts. Loved it when he said alarm bells started ringing. I honestly felt like Jane was crushing hard on Lisbon from the beginning, but the moments of jealousy he had were so subtle, I think partly because he wasn't ready to acknowledge it. I was so glad you put that in there. It's fun to know other people saw the same things you did. The part where he said if not for her he'd be dead was poignant too. I know there are different theories out there, but the only one that rings even remotely true for me start and end with Lisbon, regardless of his romantic feelings for her at the time. The fact that he still has his job because of her had me nodding my head. My favorite part of all was the very beginning. I totally agree that her having expectations of him was what he needed and what made her stand apart. Clearly no one had told him to pull it together and it was after that that he slept for who knows how long. That is one of the biggest things that cements my belief of his crush on her from the beginning. She never walks on egg shells with him, always tells him the truth, and he respects that. This was such a good story. I'm so glad you decided to do this story. It's lovely. I'm sure I also forgot to mention some things, but I really enjoyed the entire thing. Great job!
