I've decided that in no longer dislike Blade. He may have secrets, but his loyalty to Hiccup is reassuring, and also touching. All in all, he's just a kid who has lost much and is trying to h his place in the world.

So, I saw this story a while back, but I could only read it yesterday. I must say, at the beginning I wasn't so sure about what to expect, however, as the story developed I was greatly surprised. The way you gave insight into the characters thoughts and emotions was great. I congratulate you. There was one thing I feel was missing, and it was the deeper description of the aftermath of the battle. I feel that there were very important aspects which could have been explained...like Astrid's reunion with her mother (I don't know if she made it alive) Valka's conversation with Stoick and also Astrid's mother. Did anyone explain to the village the role of Erik in the whole battle? What did Hiccup tell his father about his decision to leave?
Well, I still enjoyed the story very much...just wanted to let you know :)

Wow! What a great way to end, and what a great story. I found this story when it's only been 30-plus chapters, and I couldn't stop reading this until I finally arrive at the latest chapter. I always liked Astrid, and seeing a fic where she got taken instead (where usually most fics get Hiccup to be the one who got taken), I'm glad to see something for a change, something unique. Sorry for not reviewing soon, but I just wanted to say thank you for taking your time in making this story, and I'm quite excited for the sequel! Thank you and keep up the good work!
