I rarely want to torture fictional characters, but Armsmaster has been one of those people since first reading Worm. You did a really good job at stoking those flames of hatred again.

I'm currently at a little e than half the story and I like it a lot.
I haven't played mass effect so I can't judge Shepard's adherence to Canon but I can easily see Taylor acting as Matriarch.
I still can't see the justification for Shepard as a seasoned commander passing the leadership to Taylor like that. But I am willing to accept the inconsistentcy for the otherwise good story.
I just hope the rest is good as well.

The future with Biotic!Taylor seems like it would have been a interesting read... If a bit depressing what with Taylor and Sebastian fighting against each other

I liked the epilogue!

"Sounds like a plan. It was good to see you again, Taylor. Looking forward to tomorrow. We'll bang, okay?"

"What?"

"-what?"

This opening chapter is vague as fuck. I was able to parse out the idea of reincarnation or maybe Taylor sent to an alt dimension and seeking comfort from an analogue either genetically, alt dimensionally, etc and that this story will more or less be a flashback with the ME bits being the present on top of the Worm verse shit in an alt dimension going on at the same time. Not sure how that's going to work, but I will read to find out. Can't really offer an opinion as yet. This chapter would be even more vague to someone not familiar with Worm. So maybe a fail for chapter 1 on its own?

The following can be skipped as it's just preachy nitpicking... A story should be a good story without folks having to be in the know of a multitude of details that are just going to change anyway. That some folks do know those details is like an easter egg or kudos or bonus points, but a good story has to be there in the first place, with or without the bells a whistles.
