Oh my! I loved every word. You captured Mycroft's tone and voice and personality so well! The relationship between the brothers is perfect. I loved the twist at the end too. Dark and creepy and sinister and oddly loving and human underneath it all. This is by far the best I've seen anyone do with what "happened to the other one". Bravo! What a gem!

Fabulous, just fabulous. Brilliantly written and a very, very clever plot using elements from the series that no one else has put together like this. Can't say more without spoilers, but really, really will be recommending this. I don't press the favourite button lightly... but here goes.

Eerily good. Very gripping stuff, both the prose and the plot.
I was going to save he last chapter, at least, until later, but I can't wait now to find out...

And the plot thickens and so do the relationships between the characters. Loving the banter with John and Molly, feels very authentic and also amusing.

What a brilliant start to a story! Everything about this makes me want to read on... despite the million things on a glorious day that I really ought to be doing...
I like that you tantalise us with Mycroft's confession at the very beginning, and immediately get us to imagine all kinds of scenarios. I like the mysterious case, which seems straight out of the ACD/BBC universes. And I love your characterisations of Sherlock and Mycroft in particular. Mycroft's inner voice is very authentic as is his relationship with his brother—fond but barbed.
And I only just realised that English is very likely not your first language. I had no reason to go check except curiosity as your writing seldom gives it away—the black pudding at Christmas being one.
Can't wait for the next chapter, so mowing the lawn will have to wait just a little longer.

Hello my dear, you already know that I love this story. It fooled me so completely, I still can't believe it. And it's literally one of the best Mycroft POV's that I've ever seen in our fandom. Since the story is already in the Canon Addicts collection on AO3, I hope you don't mind if I grab it for the sister community here on the site as well? Tell me if you don't want me to. Man, this is dark. But it was a very interesting mystery, and I was shocked by the ending. Never once did I suspect that Mycroft was involved. Great job!
