Beautiful story! It just shows the influence Merlin has had upon Arthur.

I really like this story and kudos to Gaius for putting Arthur in his place. But I must say that I do understand the basis for Arthur's envy, and do feel sad for him on having missed out on having his Mother around. Excellent story!

Wonderful as always. Nice insight into Merlin's deprived upbringing with the addition of bringing Arthur down a peg or two -as only Gaius can (I see the eyebrow).

The nice thing here is that the physician is probably defending his ward against current pressure and not just previous hardships.

Good that the future king can digest the information and put towards a vision of something better.
