I liked the twists on the soulmate trope you added to this. Both the pedophilia issues and how children are treated in regards to that, how the Dursleys were able to use a socially accepted reason to treat shamefully and be ashamed of Harry in public without reprisal.

The twist on how the words on each person’s arms was not their first words but rather the most pivotal/influential moment/thoughts/words/creed/beliefs about themselves and/or how they view the world was truly an exceptional bit of originality. It was not what I expected at all.

I was expecting a first words soulmate fic where Mycroft was cruel. I was looking forward to Harry’s response or reaction to that. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

Admittedly the Molly, Ginny and Ron being utterly unreasonable trope HAS been done to death. Overdone to the point of exhaustion by this point, however if you DO want a bit of a writing challenge, make them all understandable and or redeemable without changing anything you have already written. Many times molehills are made into mountains simply through misunderstandings and misconceptions caused by assumptions and a severe lack of good communication.

There are very few decently written good friend Ron Weasley stories. Most people tend to crucify him in effigy. He made a serious mistake four times . The same serious mistake. Due to a fault in his character; in this case comparing himself with other people and coming up short in his sight, then following that up with getting angry about feeling inferior and taking it out on other people. Which was finished off with being too proud/stubborn to apologise immediately when he noticed he erred.

The thing is though, I don’t know about you, but I have serious flaws in my character that have caused harmful behaviour patterns that have affected not only me but others around me detrimentally which I have continued to do even when I don’t want to and have been working on bettering for years. Many more times than four. I know of a certainty that I am not alone in this...

It is easy to judge, criticise and condemn people when they are doing the wrong thing. It is infinitely harder to be kind, patient and understanding with people when they are doing the wrong thing and may very well not deserve kindness or compassion in the eyes of many.

To be kind to those who hurt you, abuse you, use you or betray you or your family, when they don’t deserve your kindness, that’s hard. Very hard. The problem is, if we keep going with the eye for an eye paradigm as we have been as a society for a very long time now, we will end up wiping out all humanity in due time. So I figure it is time to try something different. To write something different. To share something different. Be the change you want to see in the world.

However I do suggest the use of apostrophes in your summary when you write 'caring is not an advantage' so that it is much easier to understand the sentence. I almost didn't click on your story because it suggested it had a lot of spelling mistakes. But I love soulmate stories, so I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised!
